With Korbinian Holzer returning to Germany for a family matter, Welinski has been called up and is expected to play on Thursday. The former third-round pick has two assists with the Ducks this year and four assists in 26 career NHL games overall.

The Bruins have assigned Ryan Donato to Providence (AHL).

Donato was a healthy scratch in the Bruins final game before the All-Star break and has been replaced on the active roster by Peter Cehlarik. Donato can’t seem to get anything going this season, scoring just six goals to go along with three assists in 34 games with Boston.

Hall (lower-body) did not travel to Pittsburgh for Monday’s game.

Hall will miss 14th consecutive game with a lower-body injury but did skate in New Jersey prior to the Devils practice on Sunday. Skating is an encouraging sign that Hall shouldn’t be too far away but he certainly is not healing as quick as they originally expected.
