Talbot will likely start Thursday vs. the Wild.

Talbot allowed three goals on 29 shots in the Oilers loss to the Ducks on Tuesday. Talbot has dropped four of his last five starts while posting a 3.62 GAA and .881 SV%. Tonight he will make his second start against the Wild—he allowed four goals on 28 shots in a 4-3 loss back in October, but the Wild have struggled as of late.

Mrazek gave up five goals on 22 shots in the Red Wings 6-5 win over the Bruins on Sunday afternoon. Jimmy Howard started on Monday, so they’ll go back to Mrazek tonight in Pittsburgh. Mrazek is 4-1-1 with a 1.99 GAA and .915 SV% since the break and 12-5-0 with a 1.95 GAA and .937 SV% on the road this season.

Talbot starts Tuesday vs. the Ducks.

Talbot allowed two goals on 36 shots in the Oilers win over the Maple Leafs last Thursday. He was sick an didn’t play on Saturday, but will get back in goal tonight vs. the Ducks. Talbot is 3-2-0 with a 2.94 GAA and .912 SV% in February—he was great in his first start vs. Anaheim, stopping 34 of 35 shot in a 1-0 loss.

Mrazek allowed two goals on 21 shots in the Red Wings shootout loss to the Avalanche on Friday. The Red Wings dominated but had a tough time beating Semyon Varlamov at the other end of the ice. Mrazek has gone 3-0-1 with a 0.98 GAA, .958 SV% and one shutout in his last four starts and is 0-1-1 with a 2.97 GAA and .887 SV% vs. the Bruins this season.

He comes into play as the NHL’s leader in goals against average (1.94) and save percentage (.934). Tonight will be his third career start vs. the Avalanche—he has gone 1-0-1 with a 0.48 GAA, .980 SV% and one shutout in the first two meetings.

Tonight will be his third career start vs. the Avalanche—he has gone 1-0-1 with a 0.48 GAA, .980 SV% and one shutout in the first two meetings.

Talbot allowed two goals on 26 shots in the Oilers loss in New Jersey on Tuesday. He has now lost three in a row while allowing a combined 11 goals on 70 shots (.843 SV%). Despite his recent struggles, he remains a high-end option on Thursday with the Maple Leafs in town. Toronto currently features a lineup with minimal offensive prowess.

Mrazek stopped all 23 shots that he faced in the Red Wings 3-0 shutout win over the Panthers on Monday. It was Mrazek’s 20th win and fourth shutout of the season and tonight he will make his 34th start. Mrazek has won his last two starts while stopping 51 of 52 shots (.981 SV%) and tonight he faces a Senators team that looks a lot different than it did in their first meeting.

Talbot was pulled after he allowed four goals on 20 shots in the Oilers 8-1 loss in Brooklyn on Sunday. Talbot had a rough weekend, giving up eight goals on 43 shots (.814 SV%) in back-to-back losses. Talbot has gone 4-8-3 on the road this season and he’ll face a Devils team that has lost three in a row.

Petry will not play tonight because of a lower-body injury, so Nathan Beaulieu will re-enter the lineup after sitting for the last two games. Petry is on-pace for 25 points this season, which would tie his career-high set in 2011-12. Petry is considered day-to-day.

He is a must-start this afternoon against a Canadiens team that has struggled mightily as of late.

Mrazek allowed three goals on 23 shots in the Red Wings loss in Tampa Bay on Wednesday. Jimmy Howard started on Thursday, so they’ll go back to Mrazek tonight vs. the Islanders. Tonight he will make his second start of the season against the Isles—he stopped 27 shots in a 4-2 win just before the All-Star break.

Talbot stopped 36 of 37 shots in the Oilers blowout win over the Blue Jackets on Tuesday. Talbot has won three of his last five while posting a 1.99 GAA and .938 SV%. After a rough start to the season, Talbot is really settling in for the Oilers. He draws a solid matchup against an Ottawa team that has lost four of five while giving up 4.00 goals per game.

Talbot surrendered three goals on 24 shots in the Oilers loss to the Predators before the All-Star break. He has lost two in a row but finished January at 4-4-1 with a 1.96 GAA and .932 SV%. Tonight he draws a strong matchup against a Blue Jackets team that has gone 4-2-1 in their last seven. Talbot comes in at 3-3-0 in his last six on home ice.

Mrazek turned aside 27 of 29 shots in the Red Wings 4-2 win over the Islanders last Monday. Mrazek was excellent in January, going 7-1-1 with a 1.32 GAA, .952 SV% and two shutouts. Mrazek has vaulted himself into the Vezina Trophy conversation, ranking second in the NHL in SV% (.932), third in GAA (2.03), 10th in shutouts (3) and 13th in wins (18). He is a must-start despite drawing a tough matchup vs. the Lightning.
