The Red Wings have signed Alex Chiasson to a one-year, one-way contract worth $750K.

Chiasson had nine goals, 20 points, 14 PIMs, and a +6 plus/minus through 29 games this season with Grand Rapids (AHL) and has signed a one-year, one-way contract worth $750,000. He played 67 games for the Vancouver Canucks in 2021-22, scoring 13 goals and 22 points.

Mrazek will start Thursday vs. the Stars.

Mrazek allowed four goals on 33 shots (.879 SV%) to snap a three-game winning streak as he was defeated by Anaheim in his previous start. The 31-year-old has not played well this season despite his recent success, with his 8-16-2 record, 3.82 GAA and .890 SV%. He takes on the Dallas Stars, who won their last game 4-2 over Arizona and are third-lowest in the NHL in goals allowed per game (2.59).

Rasmussen (knee) will likely miss the rest of the 2023 season.

Rasmussen left the Red Wings' game vs. Tampa Bay on February 25th after just 2:13 TOI due to a knee injury and will likely miss the remainder of the 2022-23 season. It is a tough loss for the 23-year-old, who was having a career year with 10 goals, 19 assists, 88 SOG, 43 PIMS and a +2 plus/minus through 56 games prior to the injury.

Alexandre Doucet has been signed to a three-year entry-level contract with the Detroit Red Wings.

Doucet has 45 goals, 44 assists, 36 PIMs and a +34 plus/minus through 58 games with Halifax and Val-d'Or (QMJHL) and has been signed to a three-year entry-level contract Wednesday with the Detroit Red Wings. The 21-year-old went undrafted despite having 75 points (33G/42A) in 68 games in 2021-22.

Alexandre Doucet
The Rangers acquired Patrick Kane from the Blackhawks in a three-team trade that also included the Coyotes.

Kane has had a down year in 2023, scoring 16 goals with 29 assists (45 points) in 54 games while with the 30th-placed Blackhawks. Moving to New York, he'll be surrounded by a ton of talent, including his former linemate Artemi Panarin. Kane will not make his Rangers debut Wednesday in Philadelphia but is expected to play Thursday vs. the Senators at Madison Square Garden.

Talbot allowed three goals on 29 shots (.897 SV%) for his third loss in five games as he was beaten by the Carolina Hurricanes in his last start. The 35-year-old has had an injury-filled first year in Ottawa, which has led to his 12-14-1 record, 2.90 GAA and .905 SV%. He will face the red-hot Detroit Red Wings, who have won 8 of their last 10 contests after dropping their last game 3-0 to Tampa Bay.
