Markstrom allowed one goal on 42 shots in the Canucks win in Arizona last night. It was a great outing for Markstrom, who has stopped 49 of the last 50 shots (.980 SV%) that he has faced. Markstrom stopped 27 of 30 shots in a 4-3 OT win in his first game vs. the Avalanche.

Bernier allowed four goals on 32 shots against the Sabres on Sunday. After a strong start to the new year, Bernier’s game has faltered of late, with a .899 SV% across his last five starts. He should have a difficult time turning it around tonight against the Jets.

He has lost three of his last five starts but has gone 5-1-0 in his career against the Hurricanes. He might have a chance at a W tonight with Scott Darling in the opposite crease.
