Thompson (shoulder) is expected to make his season debut on Wednesday.

Thompson has missed the start of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery in June. Thompson is expected to slot in on the Ducks’ fourth line against his former team. With Thompson back in the lineup, Patrick Maroon will likely be the healthy scratch.

Braun (elbow) will miss his third straight game on Tuesday.

Despite being back on the ice for practice on Monday, Braun will miss his third straight game with an elbow. With Braun out, look for Mirco Mueller to remain in the lineup. Braun should be back in the lineup soon, monitor his status leading up to Friday’s game in Anaheim.

Justin Braun
Johansen (illness) will not play on Tuesday vs. New Jersey; listed as day-to-day.

Johansen is dealing with an illness that has caused energy loss, which is why he did not play on Saturday, did not practice today and will not play on Tuesday. The Blue Jackets will continue to do tests on Johansen and should release an update on his status in the next few days.

Ryan Johansen
Couturier left Wednesday’s game with an apparent head injury and did not return.

Couturier had to be helped off of the ice during the Flyers win over the Bruins on Wednesday. He was hit high by Bruins forward and former teammate Zac Rinaldo. Couturier may have suffered a concussion, which could keep him out of Saturday’s game vs. the Rangers. Monitor his status leading up to that contest.
