Bemstrom was a healthy scratch on Wednesday but will replace Alexandre Texier (upper-body) in the lineup on Thursday. Bemstrom has one goal and two assists (three points) in 10 games this season.

Grzelcyk skated on Tuesday and Wednesday but needs a "couple more days" according to head coach Bruce Cassidy. Urho Vaakaninen will remain on the top pair with Charlie McAvoy with Grzelcyk is out.

Karlsson underwent surgery to repair a small muscle tear in his left forearm on Monday and will miss at least 6-to-7 weeks. Karlsson will not play Saturday vs. the Lightning due to an upper-body injury. Radim Simek will replace him in the lineup and Ryan Merkley is expected to play an increased role.

Hayes, who recently had surgery on his adductor region, is expected to miss three weeks. Jackson Cates was called up from the AHL to take Hayes' spot on the roster.
