Seattle Kraken News
Evans will be the odd-man out on Friday as Justin Schultz draws back into the lineup. Evans has no goals and four assists in nine games this season.
Chris Driedger was terrific in a 2-1 victory over the Calgary Flames in his first action since Philipp Grubauer went down with an injury, but the Kraken will turn back to Daccord on Friday against the Philidelphia Flyers. Daccord has been nothing short of sensational since stepping in as the defacto starting goalie for the Kraken earlier this month, allowing two or fewer goals in six of seven starts (4-1-2), posting a stellar .944 SV%. The Kraken are -127 home favourites against a Flyers team that played last night.
Meyers will re-enter Colorado's lineup on Friday in place of Ross Colton (undisclosed). He has one goal and no assists in five games this season.

Burakovsky is making significant progress, participating in practice for Seattle and appears to have an imminent return on the horizon after being activated off the Injured Reserve Friday. Burakovsky returned to the lineup from a six-week absence early in December but was immediately injured in his return and has missed three weeks since.
Evans will take the place of Justin Schultz on the Kraken blue-line, with Schultz being listed as a scratch for Saturday's game in Anaheim. Evans has no goals and four assists in seven games with the Kraken this season.
McCann missed Wednesday's game in Los Angeles due to the lower-body injury. He has 14 goals and six assists in 33 games this season.
Meyers had appeared in Colorado's last five games but appears to be the odd man off the roster as he was assigned to the Colorado Eagles (AHL) on Friday. The 25-year-old returns to the minors with a goal, four SOG and a -1 plus/minus in five games in the NHL this season. He has miraculously yet to pick up an assist after 49 career NHL games.
Meyers made his season debut for the Avalanche on December 11th, scoring one point (1G / 0A). He played three more games and was held without a point. Yesterday, he was reassigned to the Colorado Eagles of the AHL, where he has 12 points (5G / 7A) in 17 games this season, but will make his return to the Avalanche today.

Lajoie played three games with the Maple Leafs over the last two weeks, recording two hits and zero points while averaging just over 10 minutes on the ice. Lajoie will return to the Toronto Marlies of the AHL, where he has five points (0G / 5A) and a +4 plus/minus in 14 games this season.
McCann was held off the scoresheet, playing only 9:10 before exiting Monday's contest against the Dallas Stars with a lower-body injury. McCann's offensive production has slipped after post career-highs in goals (40) and assists (30) last season but will still be a significant loss for the Kraken if he misses any extended time. After McCann exited the game, Tomas Tatar saw an increase in deployment for the Kraken.
It will be a fifth-consecutive start for Daccord, who has been in tremendous form since taking the starting reigns from the injured Philipp Grubauer (lower-body). Daccord has been unfortunate to pick up just two wins across his last four starts despite posting a phenomenal .954 SV% over that span. His spectacular play of late has helped raise his SV% to .908 on the season after a rather poor start to his 2023-24 campaign. He'll have his hands full tonight with the Kraken being +180 underdogs in Dallas.
