Brown was the odd man out after Pavel Buchnevich returned from the injured reserve Saturday.

After returning last game head coach Craig Berube has stated Brown is just not up to speed yet. He will get the night off Thursday.

Vasilevskiy won his last start in a 36 save (.947 SV%) 3-2 victory over the Florida Panthers last Friday. After leading the NHL in wins the last five seasons, he has been his usual strong self in 2022-23, posting a .922 SV% along with a 2.52 GAA while winning two of his first four starts. He faces a Los Angeles Kings team that struggles to keep pucks out of their own net, ranking 29th in the NHL in goals allowed per game (4.43).

Gourde missed the Krakens previous game due to personal reasons but will be back in the lineup Tuesday after taking line rushes in practice. Through six games he has zero points to start his 2022-23 after finishing 2021-22 with 21 goals and 48 points.

He has enjoyed a decent start to his 2022-23 season, as he has a .925 SV% and 2.73 albeit a surprising losing record (1-2-0). His Tampa Bay Lightning will head cross-state to Florida to take on a Panthers team who is coming off a 4-3 win over the same Flyers team that just beat Tampa.

Cirelli, who is on long-term IR, is expected to be out until late November. Returning to the ice was the first step in his return to the lineup. The next step will be ditching the non-contact jersey.

Brian Elliott is getting his first start of the 2022-23 season. In his first season with Tampa in 2021-22, the 37-year-old veteran won 11 of 17 starts while pitching a .912 SV% as well as a 2.43 GAA backing up Andrei Vasilevskiy.
