Lars Eller will be a game-time decision Wednesday after being traded from Washington earlier in the day.

Eller has seven goals, nine assists, 101 SOG, 36 PIMs and a -1 plus/minus through 60 games played with the Washington Capitals and has been traded to the Avalanche for a 2025 second-round pick Wednesday and has a chance to draw into Colorado's lineup.

The Avalanche have acquired Lars Eller from the Capitals for a 2025 second-round pick.

Eller has seven goals, nine assists, 101 SOG, 36 PIMs and a -1 plus/minus through 60 games played with the Washington Capitals and has been traded to the Avalanche for a 2025 second-round pick. This will be the 33-year-olds fourth NHL team across 14 NHL seasons.

The Canucks have placed Ethan Bear (upper-body) on IR.

Bear left the Canucks' contest vs. Boston on Saturday after just 17 seconds TOI due to an upper-body injury and will now head to the injured reserve. The 25-year-old has three goals, 11 assists, 64 SOG and 12 PIMs through 46 games prior to his injury.

Sandin (upper-body) will remain out of the Maple Leafs lineup on Friday.

Sandin missed the Maple Leafs' previous game due to an upper-body injury and will also be forced to miss Friday vs. Minnesota. The defenseman has four goals, 16 assists, 57 SOG, 23 PIMs and a +8 plus/minus through 51 games this season. Sandin just tied his career high in games played in a season and hopes to pass that mark the next time he draws back into the Maple Leafs' lineup.

Ovechkin (personal) will be back in the Capitals lineup on Thursday.

Ovechkin has missed the Capitals' previous four games due to personal reasons and will play Thursday vs. Anaheim. The 37-year-old has hit the 30-goal plateau for the 17th time this season, as he has 32 goals, 22 assists, 227 SOG, 26 PIMs and a -3 plus/minus through 54 games played prior to his absence.

Lindgren will start Thursday vs. the Ducks.

Lindgren allowed three goals on 32 shots (.906 SV%) for his third loss in four starts as he was downed by San Jose last game. The 29-year-old has struggled as of late which has led to his 12-7-2 record, 2.69 GAA and .907 SV%. He takes on the Anaheim Ducks, who have lost six-straight contests after a 6-1 loss to Tampa last game.

Lindgren was the first goalie off the ice at the Capitals morning skate.

Lindgren allowed three goals on 32 shots (.906 SV%) for his third loss in four starts as he was downed by San Jose last game. Protas had three goals, seven assists, 55 SOG. and six PIMs through 43 games with the Capitals but has been reassigned to the Hershey Bears (AHL) on Tuesday. He returns to Hershey, where he had two goals and five points across eight games played earlier in the year.

Sandin (undisclosed) will not play Tuesday in Buffalo.

Sandin has four goals, 16 assists, 57 SOG, 23 PIMs and a +8 plus/minus through 51 games this season but will miss Tuesday's game vs. Buffalo with an undisclosed injury. Sandin just tied his career high in games played in a season and will be hoping to pass that mark the next time he draws back into the Maple Leafs' lineup.

Vrana will draw into the Red Wings lineup on Tuesday.

Vrana had six goals, five assists, four PIMs and a -2 plus/minus through 17 games played with Grand Rapids (AHL) and will return to the Red Wings lineup Tuesday. Vrana had a goal and two points in two games prior to entering the NHL and NHLPA's Player Assistance Program on October 19th.

Dowd (lower-body) will be a game-time decision Tuesday vs. the Red Wings.

Dowd has not played since January 16th due to a lower-body injury but will be a game-time decision Tuesday vs. Detroit. The 32-year-old has been enjoying his most productive season to date, with his 10 goals, nine assists, 42 SOG, 18 PIMs and a +9 plus/minus through 44 games prior to his injury.
