Howard is in the starter's crease at the Red Wings morning skate.

Howard gave up five goals on 36 shots in the Red Wings loss in Calgary last Thursday. After opening the season with a win, Howard has lost three in a row while allowing a combined 12 goals on 105 shots (.886 SV%). On Tuesday, he takes on a Canucks team that has won five of their last six games while averaging 3.83 goals per game.

Jimmy Howard
Hutton will start Tuesday vs. the Sharks.

Hutton stopped all 47 shots that he faced in the Sabres shutout win in Los Angeles last Thursday. Hutton has had a terrific start to the season, winning each of his first five starts, including back-to-back shutouts while stopping all 72 shots that he has faced. Linus Ullmark was able to beat the Sharks in San Jose on Saturday, so there’s no reason to doubt the red-hot Hutton on Tuesday.

Carter Hutton
The Predators reassigned Yakov Trenin to Milwaukee (AHL).

Trenin made his NHL debut on Saturday but was returned to Milwaukee on Sunday, suggesting that one or both of Rocco Grimaldi and Filip Forsberg will be back in the lineup on Tuesday. Trenin has four goals and one assist in three AHL games this season.

Yakov Trenin
Dumoulin will miss at least the next two games with a lower-body injury.

Dumoulin was a late scratch from Saturday's game vs. Vegas and will miss at least Tuesday's game in Florida and Wednesday's game in TampaBay. With Dumoulin sidelined, John Marino is expected to play on the top-pair with Kris Letang and Juuso Riikola figures to see some reps on PP2.

Brian Dumoulin
Rantanen left Monday’s game with a lower-body injury and will not return.

Rantanen suffered a pretty ugly looking lower-body injury in the first period of Monday’s game in St. Louis. Rantanen suffered a non-contact injury, twisting his knee while skating out of the offensive zone. Non-contact injuries are usually bad news but the Avalanche likely won’t release any further information until Rantanen is evaluated.

Mikko Rantanen
Georgiev will start Tuesday vs. the Coyotes.

Georgiev allowed four goals on 37 shots in the Rangers loss in New Jersey last Thursday. Georgiev has one win and one loss to start the season, allowing a combined five goals on 69 shots (.928 SV%). On Tuesday, he will face a Coyotes team that has run three in a row while averaging 4.67 goals per game.

Alexandar Georgiev
Kuemper will start Tuesday in New York.

Kuemper stopped 23 of 25 shots in the Coyotes win over the Predators last Thursday. Antti Raanta started Saturday, but they’ll come back to Raanta in New York. Kuemper has won three straight starts while allowing just five goals on 103 shots (.952 SV%). Tonight he faces a Rangers team that has lost four in a row while averaging just 1.75 goals per game.

Darcy Kuemper
Nilsson will start Monday in Dallas.

Nilsson stopped 52 of the 54 shots that he faced in Ottawa's shootout loss in Vegas last Thursday. It was an outstanding performance for Nilsson, who is 0-1-1 while allowing seven goals on 90 shots (.922 SV%) in two starts. Nilsson is always a risky option but tonight's matchup looks decent. Ottawa has lost five of their last six while averaging just 1.83 goals per game.

Anders Nilsson
Grubauer will start Monday in St. Louis.

Grubauer surrendered four goals on 44 shots in Colorado's win in Florida last Friday. Grubauer has opened the season at 5-0-1 while posting a 2.79 GAA and .919 SV% but has allowed a combined 10 goals on 108 shots (.908 SV%) in his last three starts. Grubauer went 0-0-2 with a 2.87 GAA and .891 SV% in two games against the Blues last year--St. Louis enters play at 3-2-3 and 13th in the NHL in scoring (3.00 GF/gm).

Philipp Grubauer
Trocheck (undisclosed) is questionable to play Tuesday vs. the Penguins.

Trocheck was absent from Monday's practice and head coach Joel Quenneville is unsure whether his second-line centre will be available on Tuesday. The Panthers recently signed Brian Boyle to a one-year deal and the veteran was skating in Trocheck's spot in Monday's session.

Vincent Trocheck
Bjugstad (lower-body) will travel on the Penguins three-game road-trip.

Bjugstad has been sidelined since October 5th but will travel on the Penguins upcoming road-trip, which starts Tuesday in Florida. There's no indication whether or not Bjugstad will play on the trip but this is a step in the right direction for the 27-year-old centre.

Nick Bjugstad
Rask will start Tuesday vs. the Maple Leafs.

Rask allowed three goals on 36 shots in the Bruins loss to the Lightning last Thursday. Rask and Jaroslav Halak continue to alternate starts, so Rask will get his first crack at the Maple Leafs this season. He won his only start against Toronto last year and gets some help tonight with Michael Hutchinson expected to start on the tail-end of the Leafs' back-to-back.

Tuukka Rask
Krejci (upper-body) will not play on Tuesday.

Krejci will miss this third consecutive game with an upper-body injury that he suffered last Monday. Charlie Coyle will remain the Bruins' second-line centre while Krejci is sidelined. Monitor Krejci's status leading up to Saturday's game vs. the Blues.

David Krejci
Khudobin will start Monday vs. the Senators.

Khudobin allowed three goals on 32 shots in the Stars loss in Pittsburgh on Friday. Ben Bishop's house was hit by a tornado on Sunday night (he and his family are fine) and he missed the morning skate, so Khudobin will start vs. the Senators. Khudobin has lost all three of his starts while posting a 3.42 GAA and .888 SV% but he is a fantastic spot-start option with a home-matchup vs. a Senators team ranking 28th in offence (2.29 GF/gm).

Anton Khudobin
Dansk will start Monday in Philadelphia.

With Marc-Andre Fleury starting the first nine games of the season and Malcolm Subban hurt, Dansk will start the front-end of Vegas' back-to-back. The 25-year-old netminder will be appearing in his first NHL games since October 30th, 2017. Dansk has gone 3-0-0 with a 1.78 GAA and .946 SV% in four career NHL appearances and was 27-13-2 with a 2.46 GAA and .913 SV% in 40 AHL games last year.

Oscar Dansk
Dansk was the first goalie off of the ice at the Golden Knights morning skate.

With Marc-Andre Fleury starting the first nine games of the season and Malcolm Subban hurt, Dansk is expected to start the front-end of Vegas' back-to-back.

Oscar Dansk
Binnington will start Monday vs. the Avalanche.

Binnington allowed three goals on 32 shots in the Blues loss to the Canucks last Thursday. After losing three in a row while allowing a combined 11 goals with an .891 SV%, Jake Allen got the nod on Saturday but will come back to Binnington tonight vs. Colorado. He is 1-0-2 with a 2.56 GAA and .916 SV% on home-ice this year and faces an Avalanche team that is 7-0-1 and lead the NHL in goal-scoring (4.38 GF/gm).

Jordan Binnington
Lilja will be a healthy scratch on Monday.

Lilja has played in all eight games this season but will come out of the lineup with Josh Anderson (upper-body) back in. Lilja has two assists and eight shots while playing just 8:52 ATOI this season.
