Grundstrom has been a healthy scratch for the last four games so they send him back to Ontario to get some playing time. Grundstrom had 10 points (3G / 7A) in 13 games with the Reign last year.

Bjornfot was the Kings' first-round pick this summer and played in the first three games of the season but was a healthy scratch in the last four. It makes no sense to have an 18-year-old sitting in the press box, so they send him back to Ontario where he will log big minutes.

Prokhorkin was a fourth-round pick of the Kings in 2012 and seems ready to finally make his NHL debut this week. The 6-foot-1, 195 lbs. Russain forward almost made the team out of training camp but ultimately started the season in Ontario, where he had two assists in four games. Prokhorkin replaces Carl Grundstrom on the roster and will likely slot into the Kings' bottom-6.

Lagesson was a fourth-round pick in 2014 and has bounced all over North America and Sweden since then. The 6-foot-2, 207 lbs. defenseman played two years at UMass-Amherst before returning to his native country to play one year with Djurgardens IF and then came back to North America where he's been with the Condors. Lagesson had 27 points (8G / 19A) in 67 AHL games last year and has one assist in two games this season.

Nygard is already ruled out for at least two weeks, so his move to IR opens up a roster spot to recall William Lagesson from Bakersfield (AHL).

Nordstrom has been in the lineup for the last four games, averaging 13:54 TOI/gm on the Bruins fourth line but will come out of the lineup on Saturday. David Backes is expected to replace Nordstrom on the fourth line.

Krejci will miss his second straight game with an upper-body injury that he suffered against the Ducks. Luckily for the Bruins, the Maple Leafs are going to be without John Tavares as well. Krejci remains day-to-day.

Bergeron played 21:25 TOI in the Bruins shootout loss to the Lightning on Thursday, so he must have played through a lower-body issue. The Bruins No.1 centre will accompany the team to Toronto and anticipates playing against the Maple Leafs. He has had a terrific start to the season, scoring two goals with five assists (seven points) in seven games.

Montembeault allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Panthers loss to the Islanders last Saturday. It was a solid first start for Montembeault, who has stopped 45 of the 48 shots (.938 SV%) that he has faced so far this season. Montembeault should be left on the bench on Saturday though. The Predators are one of the best home teams in hockey and enter play leading the NHL in goal-scoring (4.29 GF/pg).

Halak stopped 30 of 32 shots in the Bruins win over the Ducks on Monday. Halak and Tuukka Rask continue to alternate starts, with Halak getting his fourth of the campaign tonight in Toronto. So far he is 2-1-0 with a 1.69 GAA and .951 SV% in three starts and was 2-1-0 with a 2.36 GAA and .932 SV% in three games vs. Toronto last year.

Barberio was in for Nikita Zadorov on Wednesday but they'll swap spots again on Friday. This will be a common theme for Barberio during the 2019-20 campaign.

MacKinnon is dealing with a lower-body injury and is questionable for Friday's game in Florida. If MacKinnon is unable to play, head coach Jared Bednar said that Nazem Kadri will move up and centre the first line and J.T. Compher will centre the second line.

Zadorov was a healthy scratch in Pittsburgh on Wednesday but will play Friday in Florida. Mark Barberio is the likely candidate to come out of the lineup to make room for Zadorov, who has one goal, one assist, a plus-3 rating, 15 PIMS and seven shots in five games this season.

McCann was a game-time decision on Wednesday and was held out of the lineup vs. the Avalanche but was at practice on Thursday and remains a game-time decision on Friday. It looks more likely that he will play tonight than it did two days ago, but monitor his status during warmups.
