Carey was recalled prior to Monday’s game in case Tom Wilson couldn’t play, with Wilson playing, Carey sat out as a healthy scratch and was returned to the AHL on Tuesday.

O’Brien played just 6:08 TOI in his season debut on Monday, but it looks like T.J. Oshie is ready to play on Wednesday, so O’Brien returns to Hershey.
Greiss allowed one goal on 27 shots in the Islanders’ shootout loss in Arizona last Saturday. Greiss will start his fourth straight game and comes in at 1-0-2 with a 1.58 GAA and .958 SV% since Jaroslav Halak was sent to Bridgeport (AHL). Tonight he faces the 18-16-8 Panthers and has gone 6-3-0 with a 2.68 GAA and .912 SV%.
Jarry served as the Penguins backup for the last two games, but Matt Murray (lower-body) is set to return to the lineup tonight in Washington, so Jarry heads back to the AHL, where he is 14-5-0 with a 2.14 GAA and .921 SV% this season.
Warsofsky, 26, has had a really strong season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, scoring seven goals with 21 assists (28 points) in 24 games. He has failed to pick-up a point in four games with the Penguins and has been recalled because Kris Letang, Trevor Daley and Chad Ruhwedel are all sick on the Penguins’ blueline.
Mrazek allowed three goals on 20 shots after replacing Jared Coreau in the Red Wings’ loss in San Jose on Saturday. Mrazek has not recorded a win since December 17th, going 0-4-0 with a 3.75 GAA and.852 SV% since then. He’ll be in tough tonight in Chicago—Mrazek is 4-5-1 with a 3.13 GAA and .900 SV% on the road this season and the Blackhawks are one of the best home teams in the league.
Rask stopped all 25 shots that he faced in the Bruins’ shutout win in Florida on Saturday. Zane McIntyre started on Sunday, so they’ll come back to Rask tonight in St. Louis. Rask has won three of his last five starts while turning aside 126 of 135 shots (.933 SV%). He allowed three goals on 27 shots in a 4-2 loss in his first start vs. the Blues.
Ward turned aside 32 of 35 shots in the Hurricanes overtime win over the Bruins on Sunday. Ward continues to play well in the Hurricanes crease and is expected to start for the 17th consecutive game tonight vs. the Blue Jackets. The 32-year-old is 10-3-1 with a 1.99 GAA and .928 SV% on home-ice but the Blue Jackets are a dangerous opponent.

The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Gibson, who is now 3-1-0 with a 1.72 GAA, .949 SV% and one shutout in January. Tonight he faces the Stars for the third time—he is 0-2-0 with a 4.97 GAA and .795 SV% in the first two meetings.
Niemi stopped the only shot he faced to record the win after replaced Kari Lehtonen last night in Los Angeles. It was Niemi’s fifth relief appearance of the season, but tonight will be his 18th start. Niemi has gone 2-0-0 with a 2.02 GAA and .944 SV% in his first two starts against the Ducks this season.
Jones allowed three goals on 35 shots in the Sharks’ win over the Red Wings on Saturday. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for Jones, who will make his fifth straight start tonight in Edmonton. Jones stopped 16 of 18 shots in a 3-2 OT win in his first start against the Oilers. With that said, he is just 9-8-1 in 18 starts on the road this season.
Benn will miss his fourth consecutive game with a foot injury, but head coach Lindy Ruff said Benn is at about 80 percent and he’ll know when he’s ready and when he’s ready he will play. Monitor his status prior to Thursday’s game vs. the Red Wings.
Getzlaf has missed the last three games with a lower-body injury, but took part in the morning skate and will be a game-time decision tonight vs. the Stars. Monitor his status when pre-game warmups start at 9:30 p.m. ET, but it looks like he should draw back in.
Boyle has missed the last four games with a lower-body injury, but was on the ice for Tuesday’s practice and is hopeful that he can play on Thursday. To be sure, monitor the big forwards status leading up to Thursday.
Auvitu was injured during his first shift on Saturday and has been placed on IR retroactive to January 7th. Auvitu will miss at least the next two games because of this move.
Greene has missed the last three games with an upper-body injury and has been placed on IR retroactive to January 3rd. Despite being moved to IR, Greene will travel with the team to Edmonton and is eligible to return whenever he is ready to go.
Nestrasil has been a healthy scratch for the last three games and went unclaimed on waivers, so he’ll go to Charlotte to grow his game. Nestrasil has one goal and four assists (five points) in 19 games this season.
Dumont, 26, has picked up five goals and five assists (10 points) in 19 games with Syracuse this season. Dumont’s recall likely means that he will make his Lightning debut on Thursday. He previously appeared in 18 NHL games, collecting one goal and two assists with the Canadiens.
