Puljujarvi has been in and out of the Oilers’ lineup recently and has compiled just eight points (1G / 7A) in 28 games this season. The rookie will head to Bakersfield to tinker with his game, but don’t be surprised if you see him back in an Oilers uniform later this season.
Mrazek allowed three goals on 20 shots after replacing Jared Coreau in the Red Wings’ loss in San Jose on Saturday. Mrazek has not recorded a win since December 17th, going 0-4-0 with a 3.75 GAA and.852 SV% since then. He’ll be in tough tonight in Chicago—Mrazek is 4-5-1 with a 3.13 GAA and .900 SV% on the road this season and the Blackhawks are one of the best home teams in the league.
Hamonic left Saturday’s game with an undisclosed injury and missed today’s practice because of it. He will be re-evaluated later on Monday and should be considered questionable for Wednesday’s game vs. the Panthers.
Byron missed Saturday’s game in Toronto with an upper-body injury that he suffered last Wednesday. Byron, who has 12 goals and 11 assists (23 points) in 39 games will replace Daniel Carr vs. the Capitals.
Oshie suffered an upper-body injury on Saturday and will not play tonight. Oshie was on the ice for the morning skate, but will be scratched. However, his availability for the morning skate is a good sign that Oshie shouldn’t miss too many games.
Luongo allowed four goal on 39 shots in the Panthers’ loss to the Jets on Wednesday. Luongo was peppered by Winnipeg and ended up losing his third straight game and has posted a 2.86 GAA and .924 SV% over that stretch. He was slated to start on Friday, but got hurt in warmups and missed the last two games. He’ll get back between the pipes tonight in New Jersey.
Gazdic has been in and out of the Devils’ lineup since being recalled from Albany (AHL). Gazdic has no points, a minus-2 rating and 12 penalty minutes in eight games with the Devils.
Bennett was a healthy scratch on Saturday, but will replace Luke Gazdic in the lineup on Monday. Bennett has just two goals and six assists (eight points) in 34 games this season.
Hellebuyck allowed four goals on 36 shots in the Jets’ loss in Buffalo on Saturday. Hellebuyck has won three of his last five starts while posting a 3.08 GAA and .909 SV% and will make his fifth consecutive start tonight vs. the Flames. Hellebuyck has gone 9-5-1 with a 2.48 GAA and .920 SV% at the MTS Centre.
Britain, 24, served as James Reimer’s backup on Saturday, but with Roberto Luongo (upper-body) ready to go tonight, Brittain returns to the ECHL, where he is 15-5-0 with a 2.62 GAA and .911 SV% this season.
Luongo missed the Panthers’ weekend back-to-back wth an upper-body injury, but Sam Brittain was returned to the ECHL this morning, which suggests that Luongo is ready to go. With James Reimer starting both of the weekend games, expect Luongo to go tonight so Reimer isn’t starting for the third time in four days.

Schneider rebounded from a very poor outing vs. the Maple Leafs the night before and now sits 2-1-1 with a 1.82 GAA and .940 SV% in his first four starts in January. Tonight he faces the Panthers, who he is 0-0-2 with a 2.84 GAA and .908 SV% in his first two starts vs. Florida.
Forsberg has gone 12-6-1 with a 2.16 GAA and .930 SV% in 21 games with Cleveland this season and has been recalled to replace Curtis McElhinney as Sergei Bobrovsky’s backup. McElhinney has been placed on waivers, so expect Forsberg to remain with the Blue Jackets for the foreseeable future.

With Patrik Laine out, Tanev has been recalled and could draw into the lineup on Monday. Since being sent down in late-December, Tanev scored one goal with two assists (three points) in six games with Manitoba. Tanev or Chris Thorburn will play in place of Laine.
On Sunday, Liam O’Brien was recalled to replace T.J. Oshie on Monday and now Carey has been called up because Tom Wilson is questionable to play vs. Montreal. Carey has picked up 10 goals and 15 assists (25 points) in 28 games with Hershey this season.
O’Brien, 22, appeared in 13 games with the Capitals last season, but he is set to make his season debut on Monday. O’Brien has five goals and 13 assists (18 points) in 28 games with Hershey this season and comes to the Capitals with one goal and one assist in his NHL career. T.J. Oshie is doubtful to play tonight, which is why O’Brien was recalled.
Dubnyk allowed four goals on 34 shots in the Wild’s win in San Jose on Thursday. Thanks to the Wild’s offence, Dubnyk has gone 2-1-0 in his last three games despite allowing four goals in each contest. Tonight he will start the second game of a back-to-back in Anaheim—he is 9-3-3 with a 1.91 GAA and .943 SV% on the road this season.
Mason allowed four goals on 27 shots in the Flyers’ loss to the Rangers on Wednesday. Michal Neuvirth started last night, so Mason will go tonight vs. his former team in Columbus. Mason has lost five consecutive games while allowing a combined 15 goals on 96 shots (.844 SV%). He is a risky start against a very good Blue Jackets team.
