Bobrovsky allowed one goal on 33 shots in the Blue Jackets’ win in Detroit last night. Despite busy night, Bobrovsky will go again tonight vs. the Islanders. The Russian netminder has won four straight game and carries an impressive 1.98 GAA and .932 SV% in 22 starts this season.
Ward allowed on goal on 22 shots in the Hurricanes’ in Los Angeles. Ward has gone 3-5-5 with a 2.49 GAA and .910 SV% on the road this season. Tonight will be his second start of the season vs. the Sharks. He stopped all 22 shots that he faced in a 1-0 shutout win in their first meeting.
Budaj allowed four goals on 30 shots in the Kings loss to the Canadiens last Sunday. Budaj has lost three straight games while allowing a combined nine goals on 59 shots (.848 SV%). Tonight he will face an Ottawa team that has lost three of their last five games.
Johnson allowed one goal on 28 shots in the Flames win in Arizona on Thursday. Johnson has won five games in a row while allowing just seven goals on 155 shots (.955 SV%) and one shutout. Johnson has been one of the biggest surprises of the season and you should continue to trot him out there until he slows down.
Garbutt picked up two goals and one assist in 27 games this season before being placed on waiver earlier in the week. He heads to the AHL for the first time since 2011-12 when he was still with the Stars.
Malgin has picked up eight points (4G / 4A) in 28 games this season. He has played fairly well, but will get the night off tonight vs. the Canucks. Seth Griffith will play with Aleksander Barkov and Jaromir Jagr with Malgin out.
Blidh picked up one assist in four games with the Bruins during his call-up, but he will return to Providence with Noel Acciari ready to return to the lineup on Saturday.
Heinen has spent the majority of the year with Providence, where he has picked up seven goals and six assists (13 points) in 13 games. He has failed to record a point in seven games with Boston, but will draw back into the lineup tonight vs. Toronto.
Acciari has been sidelined since November 7th and has been recalled after a one-game conditioning stint with Providence. Acciari has two assists in 12 games with the Bruins this season and will be in the lineup tonight vs. Toronto.
Leighton went down to start with Charlotte on Friday, but was scheduled return, presumably to backup Cam Ward vs. the Sharks. Leighton has gone 1-1-0 with a 3.04 GAA and .893 SV% in two starts with Carolina and 6-2-2 with a 1.78 GAA and .932 SV% with Charlotte.
Barberio has split his season with the Canadiens and IceCaps. He has picked up one assist in six NHL games and 17 points (3G / 14A) in 19 AHL contests. He will not be in the lineup on Saturday.
McCarron, 21, has picked up four goals and eight assists (12 points) in 21 games with St. John’s this season. He was called-up prior to Saturday’s game, but will not draw into the lineup vs. Colorado. He has one goal and one assist in 20 career NHL games.
Toews will miss his ninth consecutive game with an upper-body injury, but is nearing a return, so monitor his status leading into next week.
Hutchinson allowed two goals on 24 shots in the Jets’ loss to the Rangers on Thursday. Despite the loss, it was a strong effort for Hutchinson, who will make a second straight start tonight in Calgary. The Flames come into play having won five consecutive starts.
