Tanev (undisclosed) will return to the Canucks lineup on Wednesday.

Tanev has missed the last three games but will return to the lineup on Wednesday in Montreal. Tanev will return to his spot next to Alex Edler on the top pairing as well as see power-play time with the second unit.

Chris Tanev
Gibson will start Wednesday vs. the Penguins.

Gibson stopped all 30 shots that he faced in the Ducks’ shutout win over the Kings last night. Gibson had a rough start, but has now gone 3-1-1 with a 1.81 GAA and .936 SV% in his last five outings. He’s been hot, but now he takes on a Penguins team that he has struggled against in his career—he is 1-2-0 with a 4.68 GAA and .862 SV% in three career outings vs. Pittsburgh.

John Gibson
Varlamov will start Thursday in Chicago.

Varlamov surrendered five goals on 36 shots in Colorado’s loss to the Predators on Tuesday. Varlamov has lost his last three starts while posting a 3.71 GAA and .884 SV% and things don’t get any easier tonight in Chicago. The Blackhawks are 6-3-1 and rank third in the NHL in scoring with 3.50 goals per game. There are better options out there tonight.

Semyon Varlamov
Bernier (upper-body) is available for Wednesday’s game; no word on if he will start.

Bernier has missed the last three games with an upper-body injury that he suffered on October 25th. Bernier will be available to start tonight, but head coach Randy Carlyle would not commit to his starting goalie. John Gibson posted a shutout last night, so they’ll probably see how he is feeling before they decide.

The Senators have sent Matt O’Connor to Binghamton (AHL).

O’Connor was recalled because the Senators were without Craig Anderson and Andrew Hammond, but with Anderson back and the Senators acquiring Mike Condon from Pittsburgh, O’Connor has been optioned back to Binghamton. O’Connor is 1-2-0 with a 2.35 GAA and .919 SV% in three AHL games.

Matt O'Connor
The Senators have acquired Mike Condon from the Penguins for a fifth round draft pick.

Condon was picked up off of waivers from the Canadiens, but only appeared in one game with Penguins—a relief appearance, stopping all seven shots in Nashville. Condon is 21-25-6 with a career .904 SV% in his NHL career. The acquisition of Condon, suggests that Andrew Hammond’s injury is more serious than originally expected.

Mike Condon
Mrazek will start Wednesday in Philadelphia.

Mrazek was yanked after he allowed four goals on 10 shots in the Red Wings’ loss to the Panthers on Sunday. It was Mrazek’s worst start of the year so far, but it looks like the Red Wings will come back to Mrazek tonight in Philadelphia. Mrazek is 4-3-0 with a 2.94 GAA and .910 SV% and he’ll face a Flyers team that is 4-5-1 despite ranking third in scoring (3.50 G/PG).

Petr Mrazek
Drouin left Tuesday’s game with an upper-body injury and did not return.

Drouin got crunched by Islanders’ defenseman Calvin de Haan and was forced to leave the game and did not return. The hit was to Drouin’s head, so there is some immediate concussion concern, but the Lightning have not released any information on his condition.

Jonathan Drouin
The Jets have recalled Andrew Copp from Manitoba (AHL).

Copp, 22, has picked up five assists in eight games with Manitoba this season. The 2013 fourth round pick played 77 games with the Jets last year, collecting seven goals and six assists (13 points). He is expected to take Shawn Matthias’ spot in the lineup after he landed on IR on Wednesday.

Andrew Copp
The Jets have placed Shawn Matthias (lower-body) on injured reserve.

Matthias left Tuesday’s game with a lower-body injury and did not return. Matthias’ injury is serious enough that he will miss at least one week, so the Jets have moved him to IR. With a roster spot open, the Jets have recalled Andrew Copp from Manitoba (AHL).

Shawn Matthias
Neuvirth will start Wednesday vs. the Red Wings.

Neuvirth allowed three goals on 29 shots in the Flyers’ win in Carolina on Sunday. It was just his second win of the year and Neuvirth has not been off to a good start. The Czech netminder has a 3.84 GAA and .861 SV%, but Steve Mason is basically in the same boat, which is why Neuvirth will start tonight. He has strong matchup against a Red Wings team that hasn’t won in Philadelphia since 1996-97.

Michal Neuvirth
Tanev (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision on Wednesday.

Tanev has missed the last three games with an undisclosed injury, but it looks like he will return to the lineup on Wednesday. Tanev has picked up one assist and four shots on goal while averaging 20:03 TOI in his first six games this season.

Chris Tanev
Dorsett (shoulder) will return to the Canucks’ lineup on Wednesday.

Dorsett has missed the last four games with a shoulder injury, but will be back in the lineup tonight in Montreal. Dorsett has just one assist an seven PIMS in five games this season. Expect him to take Jack Skille’s spot in the lineup.
