Raymond missed the last three games to be with his wife for the birth of their child. He has arrived in Philadelphia and will be available for Tuesday’s game against the Flyers. Raymond has 11 goals and four assists (15 points) in 37 games this season.
McClement has six goals and 12 assists in 61 games with the Hurricanes this season. He leads the team in face-off percentage (55.3%) and shorthanded time per game (2:24). He was a pending unrestricted free agent this offseason, but is now signed through the 2016-17 season.
Sergei Bobrovsky was activated from IR yesterday and served as Curtis McElhinney's back-up, so there is a good chance that he could make his first start since January 21st.
Fleury allowed three goals on 24 shots in the Penguins 4-3 win over the Capitals on Wednesday. With three days off in between games, Fleury will start again today vs. Columbus. Fleury went 5-3-1 with a 1.55 GAA, .943 SV% and two shutouts in nine starts in February.
Reimer allowed two goals on 26 shots in the Maple Leafs loss in Carolina on February 20th. Jonathan Bernier has started the last three games, but Reimer could go tonight in Washington. Horachek was noncommittal about his starter, so we await his official announcement. Reimer sits 7-13-0 with a 3.15 GAA and .906 SV% on the season.
Montoya allowed five goals on 26 shots in the Panthers loss in Pittsburgh on February 22nd. He has gone 1-2-0 with a 3.03 GAA and .898 SV% in his last three outings. He will face a Lightning team who have won three of their last four while scoring four goals in each game.
Varlamov allowed four goals on 36 shots in the Avs shootout win in Dallas last night. Despite the busy evening, Varly will go again tonight vs. the Wild. He comes in having gone 0-3-0 with a 3.09 GAA and .920 SV% in his first three starts against Minnesota.
Dahlbeck, 23, is a big-body at 6-foot-2, 194 lbs. but is not overly physical. The 2011 third round pick (79th overall) had one goal in four games with Chicago this season and 10 points (4G / 6A) in 49 games with Rockford (AHL).
Vermette, 32, is a pending unrestricted free agent, so this is a steep price to pay for a rental. The Patrick Kane injury really forced the Blackhawks hand though. Vermette has scored 13 goals with 22 assists (35 points) in 63 games with Arizona. He is a very effective two-way forward and is excellent in the face-off circle—Vermette currently sits eighth in the NHL in face-off percentage at 56.0%.
Rask allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Bruins loss to the Canucks on Tuesday. He did not dress last night cause of the flu, but he is feeling better and he will start tonight vs. Arizona. Rask has gone 2-5-2 with a 2.61 GAA and .909 SV% in February.
Schneider allowed three goals on 34 shots in the Devils 3-2 OT loss to the Bruins last night. Despite playing last night, he will go again tonight in Columbus. Schneider has gone 5-4-1 with a 1.72 GAA and .942 SV% in 10 starts in February.
Scrivens turned aside 33 of 34 shots in the Oilers win over the Wild on Tuesday. It was a strong outing for Scrivens, who has gone 2-2-0 with a 2.47 GAA and .920 SV% since returning from IR. Tonight he will face the Blues for the third time this season—he has gone 0-1-1 with a 3.93 GAA and .886 SV% in his first two games against St. Louis.
Dubnyk allowed two goals on 29 shots in the Wild’s 4-2 win in Nashville on Thursday. He has gone 10-2-1 with a 1.69 GAA and .935 SV% in February. The move to Minnesota has not only resurrected his career, but he is one of the league’s top goalies right now. One of those February outings was an 18-save shutout against the Avalanche, who he will take on tonight.
Helm left after playing just 2:41 before retiring to the dressing room for the rest of the game. He took a few had hits in the first period, so that was likely when he got hurt.
Puempel had no points and two shots on goal in the first two games during his recall. He was a healthy scratch on Thursday, but will be in tonight vs. the Sharks. He will replace Curtis Lazar who is out with an illness.
Lazar was not on the ice for the Senators morning skate and will be held out of tonight’s game because he is “under the weather.” He will be replaced by Matt Puempel in the lineup.
Hammond stopped all 35 shots that he faced to earn his second shutout in as many nights. He has stopped 81 of the last 81 shots (.988 SV%) he has faced to earn three consecutive victories. Tonight he makes for a solid start against a Sharks team who is really struggling right now.
Seguin resumed skating on Saturday, which is quite a feat considering how serious his knee injury was believed to be. He is reportedly way ahead of schedule, which is excellent news for the Stars.
