Leivo, 21, has been recalled in the midst of a terrible slump for the Maple Leafs. He has registered one goal in eight games with the Maple Leafs this season. His recall is likely just a way for the Leafs to shake things up.
Holtby allowed four goals on 30 shots in the Capitals 4-3 loss to the Predators last Friday. He had his consecutive games started streak snapped on Saturday, but will be back in goal tonight vs. the Oilers. He is 6-1-1 with a 2.01 GAA and .934 SV% in 2015.
Carrick, 22, did not register a point in 10 games with the Maple Leafs. He heads back to the AHL where he has recorded 16 points (3G / 13A) in 31 games.
Bodie did not record a point and had five penalty minutes in five games with the Maple Leafs during his recall. With the Marlies he has five goals and two assists in 32 games.
The Hurricanes played their final game before the All Star break on Monday, so they have sent Murphy back so he can participate in the AHL All Star weekend. Since being recalled in late December, he has four assists with a plus-1 rating in 10 games. Expect him to be recalled after the All Star break.
McKenzie did not play during his recall. His return to the AHL means the Stars had no plans of playing McKenzie tonight vs. Boston. He heads back to Texas where he has 13 points (4G / 9A) in 16 games.
Lundqvist allowed two goals on 34 shots in the Rangers 5-2 win over the Penguins on Sunday. Lundqvist continues to sizzle, having won 13 of his last 15 starts. In January, he is 5-1-0 with a 1.59 GAA and .951 SV%, so you should have no concerns about rolling Lundqivst out vs. the Senators tonight.
Bishop made 40 saves on 42 shots in the Lightning’s 3-2 shootout win over Colorado on Saturday. In his last six starts, Bishop has gone 5-1-0 with a 2.14 GAA and .925 SV%. Overall he is 23-7-2 with a 2.38 GAA and .912 SV% on the year. Tonight he will face the Canucks for the second time this season—he made 3- saes in a 4-2 win in October.
Farnham, 25, has played in 10 NHL games with Pittsburgh this season, averaging 7:22 minutes per contest with 19 penalty minutes. He made his NHL debut with Pittsburgh on December 13 at Columbus. Farnham has played in 27 AHL contests with WBS, where he has contributed four points (1G / 3A) and 117 penalty minutes.
Schultz was levelled by Islanders forward Matt Martin in the third period of the Flyers’ loss yesterday. With Schultz out, Oliver Lauridsen has been recalled and will play on Tuesday.
Lauridsen, 25, has two goals and three assists in 38 games with Lehigh Valley. He has not played with the Flyers this season, but has two goals and one assist in 15 career NHL games. He will replace the injured Nick Schultz in the lineup on Tuesday.
Manning, 24, has one assist in two games with the Flyers this season. While in Lehigh Valley, he leads all defenseman and is second on the team in scoring with 25 points (6G / 19A) in 36 games. He will replace Carlo Colaiacovo in the lineup on Tuesday.
Carle will undergo surgery to repair the torn abductor muscle in his abdomen. He will miss 6-8 weeks, which will give Nikita Nestero and Luke Witkowski a chance to carve out a larger role with the Lightning for the next month and a half at least.
Colaiacovo left Monday afternoon’s game with a lower-body injury. He has a long list of injuries in his career, so this is nothing new for veteran defenseman. Expect Brandon Manning to be recalled and play tomorrow.
Carcillo injured Perreault’s left arm with a cross-check on Friday. He has been suspended five games, but he served the first game of that suspension on Sunday vs. Dallas. He is eligible to return to the lineup on Tuesday, February 3rd in Minnesota. His second game back will be in Winnipeg.
Stalock allowed two goals on seven shots after replacing Antti Niemi on January 8th. Niemi has started the last five games, but it will be Stalock tonight vs. the Devils. He is 5-4-1 with a 2.43 GAA and .912 SV% on the year. He draws a strong matchup with the Devils in town.
Quick allowed two goals on 31 shots in Saturday’s shootout loss to Anaheim. January has been a struggle for Quick and the Kings. Quick is 1-2-2 with a 3.79 GAA and .851 SV% in five starts and one relief appearance in the 2015 calendar year. Tonight he faces a Flames team he is 0-1-1 with a 2.93 GAA and .860 SV% against.
Luongo gave up two goals on 34 shots in the Panthers shootout loss to the Oilers on Saturday. He has lost his last three starts, while positing a 3.59 GAA and .890 SV%. Tonight he will get a second crack at his former team—he stopped 32 of 33 shots in a 3-1 win in Vancouver 11 days ago.
Miller stopped all 28 shots that he faced in the Canucks’ 3-0 shutout win over the Hurricanes on Friday. Miller stopped all 58 shots fired his way on the Canucks Thursday and Friday back-to-back, recording his fourth and fifth shutout of the year. Tonight, he will look to continue his shutout streak in Florida.
Jooris has missed the last four games with an undisclosed injury. Despite being activated from injured reserve, he will not be in the lineup tonight in Los Angeles. He could be back on Wednesday in Anaheim or after the All Star break.
