


Miller allowed four goals on 33 shots in the Ducks loss in New Jersey on Monday. John Gibson started five of the last six games but it looks like Gibson will start tonight against the Islanders. Miller comes into Thursday at 1-1-3 with a 2.39 GAA and .929 SV% on the road this season.

Allen surrendered four goals on 46 shots in the Blues loss in Winnipeg on Sunday. Allen has lost three in a row while allowing a combined nine goals on 88 shots (.898 SV%). The Blues have struggled mightily to score as of late, but Allen is 2-0-0 with a 2.00 GAA and .932 SV% in two starts vs. Edmonton this season.

Price yielded five goals on 39 shots in the Canadiens win in Vancouver on Tuesday. It wasn’t the greatest outing for Price, who has won seven of his last 11 starts with a 2.41 GAA, .928 SV% and one shutout. In his first start vs. the Flames this season, Price stopped 34 of 37 shots in a 3-2 overtime loss.

Cave, 22, is an undrafted free agent who has scored three goals and 11 assists (14 points) in 27 games with Providence. The Bruins have three players who are game-time decisions tonight due to illness, so Cave could make his NHL debut tonight.

Crawford stopped 27 of 28 shots in the Blackhawks win over the Wild on Sunday. Crawford is riding a five-game winning streak, posting a 1.37 GAA and .954 SV% in the process. Crawford will make his sixth straight start against a Stars team that has lost six of their last eight games (2-4-2).

Quick allowed one goal on 37 shots in the Kings win in Philadelphia on Monday. The win snapped a brief two-game losing streak for Quick, who comes into tonight at 7-5-1 with a 2.22 GAA and. 929 SV% at the STAPLES Center this season.

Talbot allowed three goals on 21 shots in the Oilers win over the Sharks on Monday. Talbot has won each of his first two starts since returning to the Oilers crease while turning aside 47 of 52 shots (.904 SV%). He has struggled in two games against the Blues this season, allowing a combined six goals on just 42 shots (.857 SV%).

Markstrom gave up five goals on 19 shots in the Canucks loss to Calgary on Sunday. Markstrom has lost three of his last four starts while posting an ugly 4.29 GAA and .848 SV%. He has gone 1-1-0 with a 2.91 GAA and .909 SV% in two starts against the Sharks this season.

The Sharks foreshadowed that Couture would likely be out until after the Christmas break so him not playing tonight should come as no surprise. With Couture out, look for Tomas Hertl to remain as the Sharks’ second line centre.

Dell allowed two goals on 34 shots in the Sharks win in Calgary last Thursday. Martin Jones has struggled recently so Dell is getting more playing time as a result. Dell is riding a four-game winning streak, posting a 1.00 GAA, .967 SV% and one shutout in the process.

Rask allowed two goals on 18 shots in the Bruins win over the Blue Jackets on Monday. Despite the easy evening, Anton Khudobin started the following night so they’ll come back to Rask tonight vs. the Jets. The veteran netminder has been excellent in December, going 5-0-1 with a 1.52 GAA, .941 SV% and one shutout.

Rinne allowed five goals on 35 shots in the Predators loss to the Jets on Tuesday. Despite the rough outing, Rinne is expected to go again tonight vs. the Hurricanes. Rinne has gone 4-1-1 with a 2.28 GAA, .932 SV% and one shutout in six starts in December. Tonight he faces a Hurricanes team coming off of an 8-1 loss and who have lost seven of their last 11 games (4-4-3).

Harpur has not be in the lineup for the last three games but he will draw back in tonight in Tampa Bay. Harpur has collected just one assist in 12 games with the Senators this season.

Phaneuf left the team to deal with a personal matter and will not be in the lineup on Thursday. Ben Harpur will replace Phanuef on the Senators blueline.

The Senators said that Smith is a little banged up and is a game-time decision for Thursday’s game. The Senators recalled Filip Chlapik from Belleville (AHL) and he is expected to replace Smith if he is unable to play.

Lundqvist allowed one goal on 40 shots in the Rangers win over the Ducks on Tuesday. Lundqvist has been excellent in his last three starts, going 3-0-0 while allowing just five goals on 110 shots (.955 SV%). In his first start against the Devils, Lundqvist allowed two goals on 28 shots in a 5-2 win earlier this month.

Hellebuyck yielded four goals on 34 shots in the Jets win in Nashville on Tuesday. Hellebuyck’s numbers haven’t been as good in December, but he is still 5-2-1 in eight starts despite a 2.87 GAA and .898 SV%. He has a tough matchup tonight against a Bruins team that has won seven of their last 10 games (7-2-1).
