Scrivens gave up four goals on 41 shots in the Oilers loss to the Blues last Friday. Scrivens has a personal nine-game losing streak and the Oilers have lost each of their last 10. He has a 3.38 GAA and .888 SV% in 17 games this season, but even with a decent matchup tonight, Scrivens can’t be trusted until things start trending in a positive direction for Edmonton.

Stoner has missed the last five games with a case of the mumps. His return is perfectly timed, because the Ducks found out today that Eric Brewer will be missing 4-6 weeks with a broken bone in his foot.
Bryzgalov was originally drafted by the Ducks back in 2000. He spent six an a half years in Anaheim before moving on to Phoenix, Phildelphia, Edmonton and Minnesota. Last year he went 12-9-8 with a 2.68 GAA and .909 SV%. He has been brought in because John Gibson is on IR likely until Christmas and Jason LaBarbera will miss 2-3 weeks with a broken bone in his hand.
There is no word on how LaBarbera suffered the injury, but it happened on Saturday vs. the Sharks. With LaBarbera out and John Gibson still on IR, the Ducks have brought in Ilya Bryzgalov on a tryout.
Brewer was acquired from Tampa Bay on November 28th and played just two games with the Ducks. He broke the bone in his foot in Monday’s win over the Bruins. Thankfully for the Ducks, Clayton Stoner is ready to return tonight after missing action with the mumps.
McCormick has missed the last four games with a concussion, but returns tomorrow vs. the Lightning. His return means Tim Schaller goes back to the AHL.
Schaller failed to record a point in two games during his recall. Being sent back to the AHL means that Cody McCormick will be ready to go on Thursday in Tampa Bay.
Green will miss his fifth straight game with an upper-body injury. Since he can’t go on Thursday the next game he would be able to return is Saturday in New Jersey.
Knight appeared in two games during his recall but served as a healthy scratch in each of the Flames last three games. With Matt Stajan ready to return from a knee injury, Knight had to be sent back to the AHL.
Crawford’s injury was announced on Tuesday, but he confirmed this afternoon that he will miss 2-3 weeks with a lower-body injury that he suffered off-ice. With Crawford out, Antti Raanta presumably becomes the starter, unless he is outplayed by Scott Darling again. Crawford will be back in mid-to-late December.
The Stars have placed Anders Lindback on waivers and recalled Rynnas to be Kari Lehtonen’s backup. Rynnas has posted a 5-1-4 record with a 2.58 GAA and .913 SV% in Texas. He has three career NHL appearances.
McKenzie, 23, has registered three goals and three assists in seven games with Texas this season. In nine games with the Stars he has just one goal.
Eaves left Tuesday’s game with a lower-body injury and did not return. The injury must be rather serious if the Stars placed him on IR immediately. With Eaves on IR, the Stars have recalled Curtis McKenzie.
Grabner is expected to make his season on Thursday in Ottawa. He skated on the Islanders second line with Frans Nielsen and Mikhail Grabovsky this morning, so expect Josh Bailey to take a seat on Thursday. Grabner had 26 points (12G / 14A) in 64 games last season.
Dubinsky has missed the entire start of the season, but is nearing his season debut. It is unlikely that he returns to the lineup on Thursday, but he could be back by Saturday vs. the Lightning.

Seabrook missed Tuesday’s practice with an illness, but was back on the ice this morning for the game day skate, which suggests he is good-to-go tonight vs. the Blues. He has 14 points (5G / 9A) and a minus-3 rating in 24 games this season.
Suter underwent blood-work on Tuesday to determine whether or not surer has the mumps virus. There is no word on how long the Wild expect Suter to be out, but he will for sure miss tonight’s game which means Christian Folin is in.
Visnovsky has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury and is danger of missing a third consecutive game on Thursday in Ottawa. With Visnovsky and Johnny Boychuk on IR the Islanders have recalled Griffin Reinhart.
