Lehtonen leads the Stars onto the ice.

Lehtonen gave up two goals on 37 shots in the Stars victory over the Oilers on Tuesday. After a three-game losing streak, Lehtonen has rattled off three straight wins with a 2.33 GAA and .933 SV%. He has lost both starts vs. the Wild with a 3.05 GAA and .885 SV%

The Ducks have acquired Eric Brewer from the Lightning for a 2015 third round pick.

Brewer, 35, has four assists in 17 games with the Lightning this season. The Ducks are going to be without Francois Beauchemin for 4-6 weeks, to they are bring the veteran Brewer in to shore up the back-end.

Scrivens starts in goal for the Oilers.

Scrivens was yanked after he allowed five goals on 13 shots in the blowout loss to the Blackhawks last Saturday. He has watched Viktor Fasth start the last two, but he will get the nod tonight vs. the Blues. He has a 3.35 GAA and .887 SV% behind a shaky blue line, so he should be avoided tonight in St. Louis.

Holtby starts in goal vs. the Islanders.

Holtby allowed three goals on 35 shots in the Capitals OT loss to the Islanders on Wednesday. He will get a second crack at them tonight, which likely means that Justin Peters will get the call tomorrow vs. the Leafs. He has gone 4-3-2 with a 2.30 GAA and .919 SV% in November.

Laich (shoulder) will be back in the lineup on Friday.

Laich has missed the eight games with a shoulder injury, but he will be back in tonight vs. the Islanders. Laich is extremely injury prone and has been limited to six games this season. He is expected to skate on the fourth line left wing.

Sharp (leg) might not return on Wednesday as originally expected.

Head coach Joel Quenneville did not sound too confident when he was asked when Sharp would be back. Sharp could be back on Friday vs. the Canadiens if he is not back on Wednesday.

The Ducks have recalled Jesse Blacker from Norfolk (AHL).

Blacker, 23, has been recalled because the Ducks are without Francois Beauchemin (hand) and Clayton Stoner (illness). He will make his NHL debut, likely on a pairing with Sami Vatanen. He has four assists and a minus-13 rating in 14 games with Norfolk.

Andersen leads the Ducks onto the ice for warmups.

Andersen stopped 32 of 34 shots in the Ducks win over the Flames on Tuesday. He has won his last three starts while allowing just six goals on 89 shots (.933 SV%). He could get back-to-back starts with the Ducks in San Jose tomorrow. He draws a tough matchup today vs. the Hawks.

Johnson allowed four goals on 30 shots in the Islanders win over Pittsburgh last Friday. He has a 3.34 GAA and .876 SV% in eight outings this season. The Islanders are hot right now and he has an OK spot-start matchup vs. the Capitals.

The Canucks have recalled Nicklas Jensen from Utica (AHL).

Jensen, 21, has collected 11 points (6G / 5A) in 15 games with the Comets this season. He currently ranks tied for fourth on Utica in scoring. Jensen has appeared in 22 career NHL games, recording six points (3G / 3A) and 10 penalty minutes.

Mitchell (leg) is expected to return to the lineup on Saturday.

Mitchell has missed the last three games with a leg injury that he suffered last Thursday. He was on the ice for Avalanche practice on Friday and Paul Carey was sent back to the AHL, both signs that Mitchell should be back tomorrow vs. Dallas.

Johnson (head) is expected to play on Saturday.

Johnson missed Wednesday’s game with a head injury, but he has back on the ice for Avs’ practice on Friday and should play tomorrow. Karl Stollery, Johnson’s replacement on Wednesday was sent back to the AHL which is another indicator that he will play tomorrow vs. Dallas.
