Ward stopped 22 of 24 shots in the Hurricanes shootout win in Vegas on Tuesday. The Hurricanes have a back-to-back today and tomorrow so it looks like Ward will get another start tonight in Buffalo. Ward is 3-1-1 with a 3.16 GAA and .901 SV% on the road this season.

He has been inconsistent but really good at times this season and comes into the weekend at 5-6-1 with a 3.05 GAA, .900 SV% and one shutout on the season.

Today he faces the Rangers time for the second time this season—he allowed three goals on 32 shots in a 4-2 loss in New York in early-November.
