Sorokin will start on Monday in Colorado.

After losing their first two games of the season, the Islanders will finally turn to 2022-23 Vezina-trophy runner-up Sorokin in between the pipes. Sorokin had a disappointing 2023-24 campaign, posting a 3.01 GAA and .908 SV% in 56 outings (25-19-12), and seemingly fell out of favor with head coach Patrick Roy. That said, the 29-year-old Sorokin has been terrific over his four-year NHL career, accumulating a terrific 2.54 GAA and .919 SV% in 192 career contests (95-65-30). The Islanders enter action on Monday as +135 road underdogs against the winless Colorado Avalanche.

Ville Husso
Saad (personal) will make his season debut on Tuesday vs. Minnesota.

After missing the first three games of the season, Saad has been activated from Injured Reserve. At practice on Monday, Saad was skating on the Blues' top line alongside Robert Thomas and Jake Neighbours. In a parallel move, Alexandre Texier (upper-body) was placed on IR to make room for Saad.

Georgiev will start on Monday vs. the Islanders.

Despite being pulled in his first two contests, the Avalanche will turn to Georgiev in the crease again on Monday against the New York Islanders. Georgiev has been abysmal early this season, posting an unsightly 7.75 GAA and .680 SV% through two games (0-1-0). The 28-year-old Georgiev had a forgetful 2023-24 campaign as well, posting a 3.02 GAA and .897 SV% in 63 appearances (38-18-5), but the Avalanche are desperately hoping he can revert to that form as soon as possible. The Avalanche enter action as -152 home favorites against the Islanders.

Alexandar Georgiev
Ullmark (undisclosed) is not dressing on Monday vs. Los Angeles.

Ullmark did not practice on Sunday due to what Senators' head coach Travis Green referred to as a "maintenance day," but did not dress for Monday afternoon's contest against the Los Angeles Kings. The Senators recalled Mads Sogaard and turned to Anton Forsberg as their starting netminder on Monday in the interim. The 31-year-old Ullmark signed a four-year, $33 million contract extension before the start of the season and was playing well early in his tenure with the Senators, posting a 2.58 GAA and .914 SV% in two contests (1-1-0).

Linus Ullmark
Gaudette will draw back into the Senators' lineup on Monday vs. Los Angeles.

Ridly Greig will exit the lineup on Monday due to an upper-body injury, allowing Gaudette to draw back in. Gaudette has only played three NHL games since the conclusion of the 2021-22 campaign. The 28-year-old Gaudette had a tremendous 2023-24 campaign in the AHL as a member of the Springfield Thunderbirds, posting a career-high 71 points (44G / 27A) in 67 games.

Adam Gaudette
Kuemper will start on Monday in Ottawa.

Kuemper has been terrific early in his tenure with the Kings and will start again on Monday afternoon in Ottawa against the Senators. The 34-year-old Kuemper is boasting a 1.47 GAA and .948 SV% through two games so far this season (1-0-1). The Kings enter action on Monday with even -105 odds against the Senators, who are without starting netminder Linus Ullmark.

Darcy Kuemper
Forsberg led the Senators onto the ice for warmups and will start Monday vs. the Kings.

With Linus Ullmark sidelined, the Senators will turn to Forsberg in the crease for his first start of the season. The 31-year-old Forsberg has battled injuries the last two seasons, limiting him to only 58 total appearances (26-23-2), and has been inconsistent when called upon in that stretch, posting a pedestrian 3.24 GAA and .896 SV%. The Senators enter action on Monday with even -105 odds at home versus the Los Angeles Kings.

Anton Forsberg
Grieg (upper-body) is out on Monday vs. Los Angeles.

With Grieg out of the lineup on Monday due to an upper-body injury, Adam Gaudette will draw into the lineup for the Senators. The 22-year-old Grieg has been held off the scoresheet in his first two games this season, recording a -2 plus/minus while averaging 14:03 time-on-ice.

Ridly Greig
Shea is expected to make his season debut on Monday in Montreal.

Jack St. Ivany is expected to be a healthy scratch on Monday which could lead to Shea drawing into the lineup for the Penguins. The 27-year-old Shea has not played yet this season. He made his NHL debut with the Penguin last season, score one point (0G / 1A) in 31 games.

Ryan Shea
Puljujarvi is expected to draw back into Pittsburgh's lineup on Monday in Montreal.

Puljujarvi could draw into the Penguins lineup in favor of Rutger McGroarty on Monday against the Montreal Canadiens. The 26-year-old Puljujarvi has draw into the Penguins' lineup for two of three games this season and has one point (0G / 1A) and three shots on goal while averaging 12:29 time-on-ice.

Jesse Puljujarvi
St. Ivany is expected to be a healthy scratch on Monday in Montreal.

Ryan Shea will likely be St. Ivany's replacement in the Penguins' lineup on Monday if he is a healthy scratch. The 25-year-old St. Ivany has played all three games for the Penguins thus far, recording a -2 plus/minus and two penalty minutes while averaging 17:02 time-on-ice.

Jack St. Ivany
McGroarty is expected to be a healthy scratch on Monday in Montreal.

Jesse Puljujarvi will likely draw into the lineup on Monday if McGroarty is a healthy scratch. The 20-year-old McGroarty is playing his first NHL season and has zero points, a -1 plus/minus, and two shots on goal while averaging 11:37 time-on-ice through his first three games.

Rutger McGroarty
Peterka (concussion) has a 50/50 chance of return to Buffalo's lineup on Wednesday in Pittsburgh.

Peterka has missed two straight games due to a concussion but has been practicing with the team for nearly a week and could return to the lineup on Wednesday. The 22-year-old Peterka broke out last season with 50 points (28G / 22A) in 82 games.

JJ Peterka
Jarry will start on Monday in Montreal.

Jarry struggled immensely in his first start of the season, allowing six goals on 40 shots (.850 SV%), and served as the Penguins' backup netminder in their following two games. The 29-year-old Jarry will return to the crease on Monday and attempt to redeem himself against the Montreal Canadiens. Jarry has fared well against the Canadiens in his career, posting a 2.50 GAA and .913 SV% in nine appearances (6-1-1). The Penguins enter action as -137 road favorites against the Canadiens.

Tristan Jarry
McIlrath will make his season debut on Tuesday vs. Vegas.

With Matt Roy expected to miss a "decent amount of time", Dylan McIlrath will step into the Capitals lineup and make his season debut on Tuesday vs. Vegas. The 32-year-old is entering his ninth NHL season but has only appeared in 75 career games across that span, picking up seven points and 133 PIMs.

Dylan McIlrath
Eyssimont (lower-body) has a chance to return on Tuesday vs. Vancouver.

Eyssimont missed Tampa Bay's season opener last Friday due to a lower-body injury and has a chance to return to Tampa's lineup on Tuesday vs. Vancouver. The 28-year-old appeared in 81 games with the Lightning in 2023-24, picking up 11 goals, 25 points and 104 PIMs.
