Injury update: #Sjshark Vlasic could play Tue if swelling around eye improves & CAT scan negative;
Much better diagnosis than anticipated as it turns out he only needed stitches. Nevertheless, concussions sometimes lay dormant so Vlasic may still be hurt. The blue liner has four goals and 19 points in 57 games with a tidy plus-18 rating.
Injury update: Murray back to SJ to see team docs.
Expect Murray to miss another game or two. The physical d-man has four assists in 45 games.
Center Travis Zajac (sore left Achilles tendon) still has not skated.
The Devils have big plans for Zajac, so expect him to get back in the lineup for the stretch run. Limited to only eight regular season games, the former first line center has a goal and three points.
Lamoriello said defenseman Adam Larsson (bruised lower back) skated again today back in New Jersey.
Sounds like Larsson will miss a few more games but he should be OK. The rookie scoredg two goals and 16 points through 47 games before getting hurt.
Defenseman Kurtis Foster skated on his own before practice afternoon missing Sunday’s game with a stiff back. He said his back felt “fair.”
Foster remains questionable with his back injury. In 28 games with the Devils, he scored three goals and 12 points.
Defenseman Anton Volchenkov is riding the stationary bicycle. Devils GM Lou Lamoriello said Volchenkov wanted to practice, but they decided to hold him out for the day after he was hit in the mouth with a shot Sunday night.
The Devils are being careful with their shot-blocking machine. However, expect Volchenkov to play tomorrow night against the Leafs.
Devils defenseman Bryce Salvador said he is feeling “better” today after having to sit out the third period Sunday in Montreal, but is not practicing with the team this afternoon at Air Canada Centre.
Sounds like Salvador might miss a game or two. The veteran defenseman has five assists through 58 games.

Martin Brodeur will start in net for Devils Tuesday in Toronto.
In two starts against the Leafs this season, Brodeur has a 1-1-0 record with a 3.47 GAA and .870 SV%.
Line Change
#CBJ D Nikita Nikitin -- out since Jan. 21 with a knee injury -- likely to play on Tuesday vs. #SJSharks.
Sidelined since January 21st with a knee injury, Nikitin registered two goals and 18 points in his first 31 games on the Blue Jackets.
#Coyotes defenseman Derek Morris is taking a leave of absence from the team to deal with a family illness.
Morris is already injured so don't expect to see the veteran in the lineup any time soon. He scored a goal and nine points through 48 games.
Nokelainen will practice with the team.
Nokelainen practicing with the team is a step in the right direction. The fourth line center scored two goals and three points in 36 games before getting hurt.
Markov will join #Habs on the road trip.
Markov travelling with the team is a good sign but his value is greatly diminished in a down season. Those of you looking to grab him on the waiver wire should not hold your breath.
Moen will be delayed longer.
Sounds like Moen is a few weeks from returning to the lineup. The grinding winger scored nine goals and 16 points in 48 games.

Carey Price face aux Stars.
In four career starts against the Stars, Price has a 2-2-0 record with a 3.26 GAA and .876 SV%.
Ruslan Fedotenko says he is "feeling better" and right now his return to the #NYR lineup is "day to day...we'll see"
Sounds like Fedotenko is progressing. He has seven goals and 14 points in 51 games.
Danny Cleary says "game plan" is for him to play Tuesday at Chicago. He's been out since Edm. game with sore left knee
Cleary should play tomorrow but we won't know for sure until the morning skate. The third line winger scored 11 goals and 27 points through 55 games.
RNH still not cleared for contact.
The youngster likely needs a few more practices before drawing in. Before getting hurt, RNH scored 13 goals and 35 points in his first 40 NHL games.
Joffrey Lupul took a shot off the foot/ankle according to the coach, maintenance day, will play tomorrow #leafs
Lupul probably won't miss any time due to this injury as the Leafs are in the middle of their stretch drive. The top line winger has 23 goals and 61 points in 59 games.

Gustavsson starts tomorrow.
