Hogberg will start Tuesday in Tampa Bay. Hogberg stopped 13 of 14 shots after coming in in relief in the Senators' loss in Vancouver back on December 3rd. With Anders Nilsson going last night, Hogberg will make his second NHL start of the season tonight but draws a horrible matchup in Tampa Bay. Gibson starts Tuesday in Philadelphia. Gibson allowed three goals one 32 shots in the Ducks win over the Rangers on Saturday. Gibson has lost four of his last six starts while posting a 2.58 GAA and .902 SV%. Tonight he faces a Flyers team that is extremely banged up but have won four of their last five on home-ice. Korpisalo will start Tuesday in Detroit. Korpisalo stopped all 30 shots that he faced in the Blue Jackets' shutout win over the Capitals last night. With Elvis Merzlikins struggling and a very winnable game on-tap, Korpisalo will start on back-to-back nights. Ullmark will start Tuesday in Toronto. Ullmark allowed three goals on 26 shots in the Sabres' loss to the Islanders on Saturday. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Ullmark, who will make his fifth straight start tonight in Toronto. In his first start against the Maple Leafs, Ullmark allowed four goals on 29 shots in a 6-4 win (Nov.29) but this time he will not be going head-to-head with Michael Hutchinson. Source: Heather Engel
Vasilevskiy will start Tuesday vs. the Senators. Vasilevskiy gave up four goals one 33 shots in the Lightning's loss to the Capitals on Saturday. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Vasilevskiy, who is 4-2-0 with a 2.51 GAA and .917 SV% in six starts in December. Merzlikins is expected to start Tuesday in Detroit. Merzlikins was pulled after allowing two goals on eight shots in the Blue Jackets' loss in Ottawa on Saturday afternoon. Merzlikins is still searching for his first NHL win after starting his career 0-4-3 with a 3.41 GAA and .889 SV%. Talbot will start Tuesday vs. the Penguins. Talbot stopped 46 of the 48 shots that he faced in the Flames win in Arizona last Tuesday. Talbot has been impressive in his last two starts, going 2-0 while stopping 76 of the 81 shots (.938 SV%). He draws a tough matchup with the Penguins in town. Andersen has won three of their last four starts while posting a 2.04 GAA and .938 SV%. In his last seven starts (+ 2 relief appearances) Hellebuyck has gone 6-1-1 with a 2.09 GAA, .934 SV% and one shutout, but draws a tough assignment with the Hurricanes in town. Jarry will start Tuesday in Calgary. Jarry gave up four goals on 42 shots in the Penguins' win over the Kings on Saturday. It wasn't a shutout, which is rare for Jarry lately but it was his fourth win in five games. Fleury will start Tuesday vs. the Wild. Fleury allowed three goals on 29 shots in the Golden Knights' win over the Canucks on Sunday. Since returning to the Golden Knights, Fleury has won two of his three starts while allowing a combined eight goals on 87 shots (.908 SV%).
