Räty was a fifth-round pick in the 2019 NHL Draft and signed with Arizona after spending the last four seasons in Finland. The 21-year-old winger had 42 points (18G / 24A) in 53 games with Ilves Tampere (Liiga).

Commesso was a second-round pick (No.46 overall) in 2020. The 20-year-old netminder went 24-8-0 with a 2.46 GAA and .913 SV% in 34 games in his senior season with Boston University.

Teravainen has been out since Game 2 of the Hurricanes' opening series vs. the New York Islanders and has missed the last nine games due to a hand injury but will draw back into the lineup for Game 1 vs. Florida on Thursday. The 28-year-old failed to pick up a point in his two games played earlier in the playoffs but had two SOG, two PIMs and a +2 plus/minus. He is expected to take a spot on Carolina's third line Thursday.

The 23-year-old is expected to backup in his second season in Chicago in 2023-24.

Lafferty has been a healthy scratch for Toronto's previous two playoff games but will draw back into the lineup Thursday for Game 2 as he replaces Zach Ashton-Reese. The 28-year-old has an assist, five SOG, two PIMs and a -3 plus/minus through fives games so far in the playoffs.


Grzelcyk failed to pick up a point but had five SOG through three games throughout the first round of the playoffs but will be a healthy scratch ahead of Game 6. The 29-year-old will be replaced by Connor Clifton in the Bruins' lineup Friday.

Grzelcyk had four goals, 22 assists, 102 SOG, 28 PIMs and a +46 plus/minus through 75 games played during the regular season and will draw into the Bruins' lineup for the first time this postseason. He will replace Connor Clifton in Boston's lineup for Game 3.

Taravainen was a +2 plus/minus with two PIMS in the Game 2 loss vs. the New York Islanders but suffered a broken hand and will now require surgery. The 28-year-old does not have a timetable for his return and will make a huge loss for the already injured Hurricanes, after posting 37 points (12G/27A) in 68 games during the regular season.

Toninato had an assist, seven SOG, and two PIMs through five games with Winnipeg this season and has signed a two-year, $775,000 contract extension Wednesday. The 29-year-old has played in 169 career NHL games, picking up 30 points (12G/18A) and 73 PIMs.

Lafferty was back with the Maple Leafs for Sunday's practice after missing the final three games of the regular season due to a personal matter. Lafferty, who will be part of the Maple Leafs fourth line in Game 1, has six points (2G / 4A) in 19 games since being acquired by the Maple Leafs.


Toninanto had an assist, seven SOG, and two PIMs across five games with Winnipeg but has been reassigned to Manitoba (AHL) on Friday. The 29-year-old returns to the Moose, where he had 19 goals, 14 assists, 24 PIMs and a +7 plus/minus in 49 games prior to his call-up.

Lafferty is expected to miss the Maple Leafs' next two games due to an undisclosed injury. The 28-year-old has 12 goals, 15 assists, 102 SOG, 37 PIMs and a -11 plus/minus through 70 games played between Toronto and Chicago this season.

Vlasic had an assist, and a -1 plus/minus through six games with the Blackhawks but has been reassigned to Rockford (AHL) on Monday. The 21-year-old returns to the IceHogs, where he has two goals, 15 assists, 25 PIMs and a +11 plus/minus through 52 games this season.


Taravainen has missed the Hurricanes' previous four games due to an illness and will be a game-time decision Thursday vs. Nashville. The 28-year-old has 12 goals, 24 assists, 134 SOG, 16 PIMs and a +11 plus/minus through 63 games played prior to the illness.

Kaiser has an assist, five SOG, and a -2 plus/minus through five games with the Blackhawks but will be a healthy scratch Tuesday vs. Calgary. The 20-year-old defenseman will be replaced by Ian Mitchell in Chicago's lineup.
