Craig Smith has been recalled from Providence (AHL).

Smith cleared waivers and was sent to Providence (AHL) earlier this week but will surprisingly be recalled Wednesday back to Boston. The 33-year-old had a goal, three assists, and six PIMs in 18 games prior to his demotion and should draw back into the Bruins' lineup soon.

Petr Mrazek will start vs. the Nashville Predators Wednesday.

Petr Mrazek allowed three goals on 21 shots (.857 SV%) for his seventh loss in eight starts as he was defeated by Minnesota his last time out. It has been a horrific season for the 30-year-old, who has a 2-7-1 record, 4.24 GAA, .872 SV%. He will face the Nashville Predators, who snapped a six-game losing streak with a 4-3 overtime win over Edmonton on Monday.

Talbot will likely start Tuesday in Winnipeg.

Talbot stopped 29 of 32 shots (.906 SV%) for his fourth straight win as he beat Detroit in his last start. The 35-year-old has been enjoying a solid first season in the Nations' Capital, with his 8-7-0 record, 2.55 GAA and .916 SV%. He will face the Winnipeg Jets, who have been very sound defensively this season, ranking fourth in the NHL in goals allowed per game (2.58).

Smith will head back to the AHL for the first time since 2013 after clearing waivers Monday. He will head to Providence (AHL) after putting up a goal, three assists, 23 SOG and six PIMs while averaging a career-low 9:53 TOI across 18 games.

Daniel O'Regan has been traded to Detroit as part of a three-way deal.

O'Regan had been playing in San Diego (AHL) prior to being dealt Monday to the Detroit Red Wings and had three goals, 15 assists and a -11 plus/minus through 27 games with the Gulls. He was a part of a three-way deal which saw Michael Del Zotto head to Anaheim and Givani Smith go to Florida.

Campbell will start Monday in Nashville.

This will be only Campbell's third start of December after stopping 29 of 32 shots (.906 SV%) in his previous start, in a win over Nashville. Campbell has had a nightmarish opening season in Edmonton, losing the starting role while posting a 8-6-0 record, 4.04 GAA and .875 SV%. He faces the Nashville Predators, who will be looking to snap the six game losing streak that they are currently on.

Dylan Larkin will be a game-time decision Saturday vs. Ottawa (upper body).

Larkin awkwardly took a puck to the arm/hand during Tuesday's matchup vs. Carolina and will be forced to miss Wednesday's game as he is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. The Red Wings' captain has been enjoying a solid contract season, with 10 goals, 27 points, 94 SOG and a +6 plus/minus through 28 games prior to the injury.

Talbot stopped all 32 shots he faced to pick up his first shutout as a member of the Senators with a win over Anaheim in his last start. The 35-year-old has been enjoying a solid opening season in Ottawa, with his 6-7-0 record, .917 SV% and 2.55 GAA. He will take on the Montreal Canadiens, who rank 25th in goals per game (2.86) and 30th in shots (29.3).

Alex Lyon has been loaned back to Charlotte (AHL).

Lyon will head back to Charlotte (AHL) after not seeing any action with the Florida Panthers. He heads back to the AHL where he had been having a mediocre season in Charlotte prior to the promotion with a 6-5-2 record, .903 SV% and 2.80 GAA.

Tyler Motte will be out a week with an upper-body injury.

Motte left the Senators' last game Monday after just sevens shifts and 6:38 TOI due to an upper-body injury and will be out for at least a week. The 27-year-old had two goals, eight points, and 52 SOG through 28 games prior to the injury and will hope to be back soon with Ottawa also losing Tim Stutzle Wednesday.

Elmer Soderblom has been recalled from the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL).

Soderblom heads back to the Red Wings for a second time this season after scoring two goals and getting six PIMs with a -5 plus/minus through 13 games to start his career. The towering, 6'8" forward had no points in his two games with Grand Rapids (AHL) prior to his callup.
