Seattle has signed John Hayden to a two-year contract extension.

Hayden has spent the last three seasons in Seattle and will remain with the Kraken for two more years after signing a two-year, $1.55 million contract extension ($775,000 AAV) on Wednesday. The 30-year-old forward appeared in 20 games with the Kraken in 2024-25, picking up a goal and two points to go alongside 31 PIMs while averaging 8:31 TOI/GP.

Murray (illness) will return as Toronto's backup for Game 4 in Florida on Sunday.

Murray was unable to backup for Toronto in Game 3 due to an illness, but is healthy and will return to his backup role for Game 4 on Sunday. The 30-year-old netminder will continue to replace Anthony Stolarz, who was forced out of Game 1 due to a concussion.

Murray will back up for Game 2 vs. Florida on Wednesday.

With Anthony Stolarz (concussion) being ruled out for Game 2 on Wednesday, Matt Murray will serve as Toronto's backup vs. Florida. The 30-year-old spent the majority of his 2024-25 season with the Toronto Marlies (AHL) but did appear in two games with the Maple Leafs during the regular season, struggling with his 1-1-0 record, 3.54 GAA and .879 SV%.

Daccord will start against the Kings on Tuesday.

Seattle is coming off a 4-3 shootout win over the St. Louis Blues and will try to end the 2024-25 season on a positive note, turning to Daccord between the pipes on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Kings. The 28-year-old Daccord was solid in his most recent outing but did not receive ample goal support, saving 23 of 25 shots (.920 SV%) in a 2-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights. He has a 2.69 GAA and .908 SV% in 56 games this season (27-22-5). Seattle enters Tuesday's contest as +102 home underdogs against a Los Angeles team that defeated the Edmonton Oilers 5-0 last night.

Ottavainen was recalled from Coachella Valley (AHL) and will make his NHL debut on Tuesday.

Ottavainen was Seattle's fourth-round pick, 99th overall, in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. The 22-year-old defenseman has yet to play an NHL game. He has 15 points (3G / 12A) in 66 games with the Coachella Valley Firebirds (AHL) this season.

Daccord will make his 54th start of the season when the Kraken travel to Vegas on Thursday. Daccord struggled on Tuesday while making his second start in as many nights, giving up seven goals on 29 shots in a 7-1 loss in Utah. The 28-year-old netminder has performed well for the Kraken this season, posting a 27-21-5 record and a .908 SV%. He'll have his hands full again on Thursday as the Kraken enter action at +225 on the money line.
