It has been an inconsistent start to the season for Gibson, who has won just four times in nine starts while posting a 2.58 GAA and .911 SV%. As choppy as his play has been, he should make for a fine start tonight vs. the Coyotes.
Hellebuyck allowed three goals on 27 shots in the Jets’ loss to the Capitals on Tuesday. The Michigan native will enjoy a homecoming tonight as he gets the nod in Detroit. Stone will miss his fourth straight game with an upper-body injury. Stone did not even travel to Anaheim, which suggests that he is still a ways away from being ready to re-join the lineup.

The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Schneider, who has won four of his first eight starts while posting a 2.11 GAA and .933 SV%. Tonight he will take on the Lightning for the third time already—he has gone 1-1-0 with a 2.03 GAA and .940 SV% in the first two meetings.
Ritchie will miss his second straight game with an upper-body injury. He will join Ryan Getzlaf in the press-box, which means two-thirds of the Ducks’ top-line is out tonight. Rickard Rakell and Michael Sgarbossa will be bumped to the top line in the meantime.
Getzlaf skated on his own prior to the Ducks’ morning skate on Friday, but will not play vs. Anaheim. This will be the second straight game that Getzlaf has missed after being a surprise late scratch from Wednesday’s game vs. the Penguins. With Getzlaf out, Rickard Rakell will centre the Ducks’ top line.
