Luongo is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Luongo will not play on Thursday due to the injury that he suffered last night vs. the Maple Leafs. His injury is not believed serious, which is great news for the Panthers, who are battling for a playoff position. Dan Ellis will start tomorrow.

Ellis will start Thursday vs. Dallas.

Ellis will make his first NHL start of the season. He has gone 22-11-3 with a 2.70 GAA and .906 SV% in 36 starts with San Antonio (AHL) this season. He is not a great option against the Stars—he went 0-5-0 with a 4.81 GAA and .836 SV% with the Panthers last season.

Hutchinson allowed two goals on 20 shots in the Jets 5-2 win over the Kings on Sunday. He has won five out of his last seven starts while registering a 2.69 GAA and .894 SV%. Tonight he will face a Senators team who have played very well in front of Andrew Hammond, going 5-0-1 in their last six.

Michael Hutchinson
Hutchinson likely to make his fifth straight start.

Hutchinson allowed two goals on 20 shots in the Jets 5-2 win over the Kings on Sunday. He has won five out of his last seven starts while registering a 2.69 GAA and .894 SV%. Tonight he will face a Senators team who has played very well in-front of Andrew Hammond, but it will be Craig Anderson tonight for the first time since January 21st.

Zetterberg (head) is expected to be back in the Red Wings lineup on Wednesday.

Zetterberg has missed the last four games with a head injury, but it looks like he will be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Rangers. He need to be cleared by doctors this afternoon, buts far, all signs point towards him playing. Zetterberg will centre Justin Abdelkader and newcomer Erik Cole, if he plays. Z has 15 goals and 34 assists (49 points) in 57 games this season.

Henrik Zetterberg
The Panthers have recalled Sam Brittain from Cincinnati (ECHL).

Brittain, 22, has never even started an AHL game, but this is his second recall of the season. He has gone 14-11-1 with a 2.71 GAA and .895 SV% with Cincinnati this season. With both Roberto Luongo and Al Montoya getting injured last night, Brittain would serve as Dan Ellis’ backup last if neither of them can go.

The Panthers have recalled Dan Ellis from San Antonio (AHL).

Ellis, 34, has been recalled because both Roberto Luongo and Al Montoya were injured last night vs. Toronto. If neither is available tomorrow, expect Ellis to start vs. Dallas. The veteran net minder has gone 22-11-3 with a 2.70 GAA and .906 SV% with San Antonio.

No morning skate for the Rangers, but Talbot is the projected starter.

Talbot made 25 saves in the Rangers 4-1 win over the Predators on Monday. He has won four out of his last five starts while posting a 1.97 GAA, .933 SV% and one shutout. Tonight he will face a Red Wings team who are 4-1-1 while averaging 3.33 goals per game in their last six contests.

Daley could be out “weeks” after a knee-on-knee collision on Tuesday.

Daley was caught knee-on-knee by Islanders forward Matt Martin early in Tuesday’s 3-2 win. The Stars have already lost Tyler Seguin to a knee-on-knee collision and now they may have lost arguably their best defenseman for “weeks.” The Stars sit nine points out of a Wild Card spot and this all but ruins their playoff chances.

Trevor Daley
Clarkson left Tuesday’s game with and upper-body injury and did not return.

Clarkson received a two-minute tripping minor and a 10-minute misconduct after getting involved in a scrum. It is believed he suffered an injury at some point during that scrum and was forced to leave the game. Things haven’t exactly gone well in a Blue Jackets uniform for Clarkson.

David Clarkson
Montoya left Tuesday’s game with a lower-body injury and did not return.

Tuesday’s game was a crazy one for Panthers’ net minders. Roberto Luongo was injured which thrust Montoya into duty.Montoya was then injured and left the ice. Since he was their only goalie option he returned to the crease and played on one leg. He ended up getting replaced by Luongo with under 10 minutes left in the third. Montoya’s injury is believed to be more serious, so the Panthers have recalled Dan Ellis from San Antonio (AHL).

Al Montoya
Luongo suffered an upper-body injury in Tuesday’s loss to Toronto.

Luongo was stung by a shot near his neck in the first period. He was able to finish the first period, but was replaced by Al Montoya for the second period. Later in the game, Montoya went down with an injury. He battled through it, until Luongo was able to back up and return for the remaining 9:08.

Quick leads the Kings onto the ice for warmups.

Quick allowed four goals on 21 shots in the Kings loss in Winnipeg on Sunday. Los Angeles did not really show up for this one, so it is hard to pin it on Quick. He has run into a bit of a rough patch, but should be able to get back in the win column tonight vs. the Oilers. He has gone 1-0-1 with a 1.44 GAA and .943 SV% vs. Edmonton this season.

Jonathan Quick
Lehtonen leads the Stars onto the ice for warmups.

Lehtonen surrendered four goals on 23 shots in the Stars loss to the Avalanche last Friday. Jhonas Enroth has started three of the last four games, but it will be Lehtonen tonight vs. the Islanders. He will face an Islanders team who have averaged 3.50 goals per game in their last 10 games and 3.09 on the season.

Kari Lehtonen
Hutton leads the Predators onto the ice for warmups.

Pekka Rinne went last night so Hutton will start the second game of the back-to-back. Hutton allowed one goal on 17 shots in the Predators win in Buffalo on February 22nd. He has gone 6-4-4 with a 2.51 GAA and .906 SV% this season. He has a strong matchup against the Devils.

Carter Hutton
Scrivens starts his sixth straight game.

Scrivens allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Oilers loss to the Blues on Saturday. Scrivens is 2-3-0 with a 2.38 GAA and .921 SV% in his last five starts. Tonight he will face a Kings team who have lost three in a row while scoring just five goals.
