Howard gave up four goals on 38 shots in Saturday’s shootout loss to the Jets. It wasn’t the best showing, but it was his first start in over a month. He will go again tonight in a huge matchup against Montreal. In his first two starts against the Habs, Howie has gone 0-1-1 with a 3.10 GAA and .891 SV%.
Dubnyk allowed three goals on 27 shots in the Wild’s 6-3 victory over the Hurricanes on Saturday. After losing last Tuesday, he has gotten back to his winning way, winning both of his last two starts. Dubnyk is 10-1-1 with a 1.60 GAA and .938 SV% in 13 starts with Minnesota. He has gone 3-0-0 with a 2.20 GAA and .937 SV% vs. the Canucks this season (2 w/ MIN).

Tonight he will get thrown into the fire with a brutal matchup in Anaheim.

He makes for a risky option on most nights, but should be a safe start tonight in Buffalo. The Sabres have lost six of eight since the All Star break.
