The Maple Leafs have acquired Brendan Leipsic, Olli Jokinen and a 2015 first round pick from the Predators for Cody Franson and Mike Santorelli.

Leipsic, 20, was a third-round pick (89th overall) in 2012. He is under-sized but feisty and is currently 4th in rookie scoring in the AHL. He recorded seven goals and 28 assists (35 points) in 47 games with Milwaukee (AHL).

The Maple Leafs have acquired Olli Jokinen, Brendan Leipsic and a 2015 first round pick from the Predators for Cody Franson and Mike Santorelli.

Jokinen is a pending unrestricted free agent at the end of the season and was just a salary dump for the Predators. The veteran centre has been a healthy scratch in eight of the last nine games. He has registered three goals and three assists in 48 games this season.

The Predators have acquired Mike Santorelli and Cody Franson from the Maple Leafs for Olli Jokinen, Brendan Leipsic and a 2015 first round pick.

Santorelli, 29, was originally a sixth round pick of the Predators back in 2004. He spent the first three years of his career with the Nashville organization before heading to Florida, Winnipeg, Vancouver and then finally landing with the Maple Leafs this season. In 57 games he has registered 11 goals and 18 assists (29 points) in 57 games.

The Predators have acquired Cody Franson and Mike Santorelli from the Maple Leafs for Olli Jokinen, Brendan Leipsic and a 2015 first round pick.

Franson, 27, who was originally drafted by the Predators in 2005, spent the first four years of his career in Nashville. 2014-15 was his fourth year in Toronto, he has registered 32 points (6G / 26A) in 55 games at the point of today’s trade. Franson heading to Nashville makes the Preds even more of a legitimate Stanley Cup favourite.

Gonchar left Saturday's game with am upper-body injury and did not return.

Gonchar was injured after a questionable hit from David Clarkson in Saturday’s win over the Maple Leafs. Clarkson was assessed a game misconduct for the hit. Gonchar is considered day-to-day until the Canadiens release more information.

Neil is expected to miss 3-4 weeks with a broken thumb.

Neil, who has been subject of trade rumours leading up to the deadline, is unlikely to be dealt now as he is expected to be out until at least the second week of March. Neil broke his thumb in a spirited bout with Luke Gazdic on Saturday.

Raffl (illness) is expected to return to the Flyers lineup on Sunday.

Raffl has missed the last seven games with an illness, but he will be back in the lineup tonight vs. Buffalo. With Raffl back in, Ryan White will come out of the lineup. Raffl has 12 goals and three assists (15 points) in 40 games this season.

Fleury will start in goal vs. the Blackhawks.

Fleury allowed one goal on 24 shots in the Penguins 4-1 win over the Red Wings on Wednesday. He has been great as of late, winning three in a row while allowing just one goal on 67 shots (.985 SV%). In his first start vs. the Blackhawks, he allowed two goals on 26 shots in a 3-2 shootout loss.

Neuvirth is expected to be in goal on Sunday vs. the Flyers.

Neuvirth gave up three goals on 31 shots in the Sabres loss to the Islanders last Sunday. With Jhonas Enroth now in Dallas, the starting gig belongs solely to Neuvirth. He is expected to face the Flyers for the second time this season. The first meeting didn’t go great, he allowed four goals on 32 shots in a 4-3 loss.

Vitale (upper-body) will return to the Coyotes lineup on Saturday.

Vitale has missed the last 10 games with an upper-body injury, but will be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Rangers. Vitale will centre the Coyotes third line with Lauri Korpikoski and Martin Erat on his wings.

Rozsival (shoulder) returned to practice on Saturday.

Rozsival was held out of Friday’s game, but is expected to be back in the lineup on Sunday after participating in Saturday’s practice. With Rozsival set to return, Kyle Cumiskey will come out of the lineup.

Rinne starts tonight vs. the Devils.

Rinne allowed one goal on 33 shots in the Predators win over the Jets on Thursday. He has won three in a row with a 1.63 GAA and .948 SV%. He is a must-start tonight vs. the Devils—Rinne has gone 20-3-1 with a 1.90 GAA and .930 SV% at Bridgestone Arena this season.
