Andersen will start for the Ducks; Igor Bobkov to backup.

Andersen was pulled after giving up five goals on 19 shots in a 6-4 loss to San Jose on Saturday. Despite the bad outing, his backup Jason LaBarbera got injured, so Andersen gets a chance to bounce-back right away. After a 7-1-0 month of October, Andersen was 3-3-4 with a 3.00 GAA and .895 SV% in 11 starts in November.

Fasth starts tonight vs. Arizona.

Fasth stopped 24 of 25 shots in the Oilers 1-0 OT loss to the Predators last Thursday. He was given Friday night off, but will be back in between the pipes tonight trying to snap the Oilers extensive nine-game losing streak. Fasth has a 3.01 GAA and .900 SV% in 10 games this season.

Gorges (knee) returns to the Sabres lineup on Tuesday.

Gorges has missed the last eight games with a knee injury that he suffered on November 11th vs. the Blues. Gorges skated with Tyson Strachan this morning, but is expected to be paired with Tyler Myers tomorrow if he plays. Gorges has one assist and a minus-8 rating in 17 games.

Josh Gorges
Holtby starts between the pipes on Tuesday.

Holtby was yanked after he allowed three goals on 12 shots in Saturday’s 6-2 loss to the Maple Leafs. With a rough finish to the month, Holtby ended up 5-4-2 with a 2.49 GAA and .913 SV% in November. Tonight he takes on a Canucks team who are 4-1-1 in their last six.

Braden Holtby
Anderson gets the start on Tuesday.

Anderson allowed three goals on 46 shots in the Senators 3-2 loss to the Panthers on Friday. Anderson has dropped three in a row while giving up 11 goals on 114 shots (.904 SV%). He was given Saturday night off, but will be back in goal tonight vs. the Islanders. It’s a tough matchup vs. a hot Isles team on the road--Anderson is 2-5-1 with a 2.87 GAA and .923 SV% away from Ottawa.

As expected, Bobrovsky gets the start vs. Florida.

Bobrovsky gave up four goals on 29 shots in a loss to the Canucks on Friday. He was given Saturday night off, but will be back in the cage tonight vs. Florida. Since returning from a finger injury, he has gone 1-4-1 with a 3.30 GAA and .907 SV%. He will look to get back on track tonight vs. the Panthers.

Abdelkader (shoulder) will not play on Tuesday; he is day-to-day.

Abdelkader was injured on a hit from Canucks’ defenseman Luca Sbisa in Sunday’s win. Coach Mike Babcock had no update on Abby other than he is out and day-to-day. With Abdelkader out, Johan Franzen will move up to the top-line with Pavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg.

The Devils have signed Scott Gomez.

At this point there is no word on the length or the terms of the contract but it is believed to be a one-year deal. Gomez had been practicing with the Devils but was unsigned. With injuries to Adam Henrique and Travis Zajac the Devils inked the veteran centre late on Sunday. He is in the twilight of his career, but is expected to skate with Patrik Elias and Jaromir Jagr.

Scott Gomez
Henrique (upper-body) did not practice Monday but will travel with the team on their two-game road trip.

Henrique missed Saturday’s game after suffering an upper-body injury on Friday. He didn’t skate this morning, but that won’t stop him from traveling to Pittsburgh on Tuesday. That is a positive sign that the injury is minor, but there is still no word on when he will return to the lineup.

Adam Henrique
Havlat (lower-body) will not travel on the Devils’ two-game road-trip.

Havlat suffered a lower-body injury on Saturday vs. the Islanders and will miss at least the next two games as he will not accompany the team on their short two-game road trip.

Martin Havlat
Zajac (lower-body) will not travel on the Devils’ two-game road-trip.

Zajac missed Saturday’s game after suffering a lower-body injury on Friday vs. the Red Wings. He will miss at least the next two games as he will not travel with the team to Pittsburgh and Toronto. With injuries to a number of centres the Devils have signed Scott Gomez.

Travis Zajac
Montoya gets his second straight start Monday.

Montoya allowed two goals on 24 shots in the Panthers win over the Senators on Friday. Dan Ellis was sent back to the AHL, which suggests that Roberto Luongo is healthy, but it will be Montoya who gets the nod tonight in Columbus. Bobby Lu will likely be the back-up.
