



Neuvirth surrendered five goals on 17 shots in the Flyers’ loss to Montreal last Saturday. Steve Mason started the last two games, including last night, so expect Neuvirth to start Saturday vs. the Wild. Minnesota comes into Saturday having won four of their last six games and have significantly better goaltending than the Flyers right now.

Grubauer allowed two goals on 25 shots in the Capitals’ win in Vancouver on October 29th. Braden Holtby started the last six games, including last night’s contest, so Grubauer to get the call in Carolina. Grubauer has won each of his two starts while stopping 41 of 43 shots (.954 SV%). He makes for a nice spot-start on a busy Saturday.

Kassian has missed the last three games with an undisclosed injury, but he was back at practice on Saturday and is expected to play Sunday vs. the Rangers. Kassian has two goals and two assists (four points) in 12 games so far this season.

Tkachuk will miss his second straight game after having stitches on his wrist. Tkachuk remains day-to-day and could be back in the lineup on Tuesday in Minnesota.

Howden, 24, has been off to a great start in Manitoba, scoring seven goals with two assists (nine points) in his first 11 games. The former Florida Panther has 17 points (10G / 7A) in 92 career NHL games and could make his Jets debut on Sunday.

Perreault has missed the last five games with an upper-body injury and his movement to IR means that he will miss a sixth straight game on Sunday. The move also create a roster spot for the Jets to recall Quinton Howden from Manitoba (AHL).

Gibson allowed three goals 18 shots in the Ducks’ overtime loss in Columbus on Wednesday. Jonathan Bernier got the nod and the win on Thursday, but Gibson is expected to start tonight in Nashville. Gibson has gone 2-1-1 with a 2.33 GAA and .913 SV% in four starts this month and he also won his first start vs. Nashville by stopping 28 of 29 shots.


Duchene left Saturday’s game after getting caught up high with a hit and his absence from Saturday’s practice leaves him questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Bruins. With Duchene potentially out, Nathan MacKinnon skated on the top line on Saturday.

Dubnyk allowed two goals on 41 shots in the Wild’s win in Pittsburgh on Thursday. Dubnyk has won four of his last six starts with a 0.84 GAA, .974 SV% and three shutouts. Dubnyk is red-hot and tonight he faces a Flyers team that has lost three in a row, despite averaging 3.00 goals per game.

Beck only appeared in one game during his call-up, but served as a healthy scratch in the last two games. The 25-year-old returned to Bakersfield, where he has 12 points (3G / 9A) in eight games.

Elliott allowed three goals on 21 shots in the Flames’ 4-2 loss to the Stars on Thursday. Elliott has now lost his last four starts with a 3.52 GAA and .872 SV%. It’s been a rough stretch for the veteran netminder, who will have a tough-go tonight against the NHL’s highest scoring team—the Rangers are averaging 4.14 goals per game in 14 contests.

Nakladal, 28, failed to record a point in three games with the Hurricanes, but he will head to Charlotte after being a healthy scratch in 10 of the first 13 games.

Tennyson, 26, has picked up three goals on four assists (seven points) in nine games with Charlotte this season. Tennyson will replace Jakub Nakladal on the Hurricanes’ roster, but isn’t expected to play on Saturday.

Stone has missed the last six games with an upper-body injury, but he will be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Bruins. There’s no word on who will come out of the lineup to make room for Stone, but he has three assists in four games this season.
