It has been an inconsistent start to the season for Gibson, who has won just four times in nine starts while posting a 2.58 GAA and .911 SV%. As choppy as his play has been, he should make for a fine start tonight vs. the Coyotes.



Hellebuyck allowed three goals on 27 shots in the Jets’ loss to the Capitals on Tuesday. The Michigan native will enjoy a homecoming tonight as he gets the nod in Detroit. He enters play with a 2-3-0 record, 2.63 GAA and .914 SV% in five starts. In his only other start vs. Detroit, Hellebuyck turned aside 33 of 34 shots in a 4-1 win in Winnipeg.

Stone will miss his fourth straight game with an upper-body injury. Stone did not even travel to Anaheim, which suggests that he is still a ways away from being ready to re-join the lineup.

Domingue’s game is starting to resemble his play from last year, but he remains a risky option in Anaheim on no rest. Although, the Ducks are without Ryan Getzlaf, Nick Ritchie and Hampus Lindholm.
