After clearing waivers on Wednesday, Puustinen will report to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL. The 25-year-old Puustinen was the 203rd overall pick of the Penguins in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. He scored two points (1G / 1A) in 10 games with Pittsburgh this season.

Alex Lyon (undisclosed) tweaked something at morning skate on Wednesday, resulting in the Red Wings recalling Husso to serve as Cam Talbot's backup against the Calgary Flames. The 29-year-old Husso has played two games with the Red Wings this season but has primarily been with the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL), posting a 1.58 GAA and .944 SV% in five appearances (4-0-0).

Blankenburg is an undrafted 26-year-old product of the University of Michigan. The defenseman played 12 games with the Blue Jackets last season but has exclusively been an AHL player in 2024-25, scoring eight points (3G / 5A) in 13 games with the Milwaukee Admirals.

Mermis signed a one-year, $775,000 contract with the Maple Leafs in the offseason but has not played yet in the 2024-25 season due to an upper-body injury. The 30-year-old underwent successful jaw surgery at the end of September. In 47 games with Minnesota in 2023-24, he had three goals, eight points and 33 PIMs.

Rosen made his NHL debut last season, playing seven games with the Sabres, but has predominantly been an AHL player, including scoring 13 points (4G / 9A) in 14 games with the Rochester Americans this season. The 21-year-old Rosen was the 14th overall pick of the Sabres in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. He returns to the Rochester Americans (AHL), clearing space for Tage Thompson to be activated from Injured Reserve.

In a three-game stint with Seattle, Meyers averaged 7:56 time-on-ice, tallying zero points and three hits. The 26-year-old will return to the Coachella Valley Firebirds (AHL) where he has eight points (2G / 6A) in 11 games this season.

Hinds was the third-round pick, 76th overall, of the Ducks in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. The 21-year-old defenseman has yet to make his NHL debut and has three points (2G / 1A) in 16 games with the San Diego Gulls (AHL) this season.

Thompson has been effective for the Sharks this season but hasn't been a consistent fixture in their lineup. The 22-year-old Thompson is averaging 15:56 time-on-ice and has five points (2G / 3A) in 13 games with the Sharks this season.

Askarov was tremendous in a two-game stint with the Sharks but has been sent down to the San Jose Barracuda (AHL) due to Vitek Vanecek returning from injury. The 22-year-old Askarov posted a 1.96 GAA and .927 SV% in two games (1-0-1).

Rempe played a season-high 9:26 time-on-ice in his fourth game of the season Monday but will return to the AHL. In a corresponding move, the Rangers recalled Chad Ruhwedel from the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL).

Matt Rempe has been re-assigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL), allowing space for the Rangers to recall Ruhwedel. The 34-year-old Ruhwedel played one game with the Rangers earlier this season but has primarily been in the AHL, scoring two points (0G / 2A) in seven games with Hartford.
