It will be Reichel's season debut after putting up 10 goals and 13 assists in 19 games with the Rockford IceHogs (AHL). He will fill in for Jonathan Toews, who is out due to illness.

He takes on the NHL-leading New Jersey Devils, who are 2nd in the NHL in shots per game (35.4) and fourth in goals (3.72).

Smith missed Monday's contest due to an upper-body injury but will return Wednesday as the Bruins take on Colorado. The 33-year-old has a goal, two assists and 16 SOG through 12 games in an injury-filled season to date.
