Jujhar Khaira has been placed on the injured reserve retroactive to Dec. 27th (lower back).

Khaira last played Dec. 23rd due to a lower-body injury taking him out of the Blackhawks' lineup and has been placed on the injured reserve retroactive to Dec. 27th. The 28-year-old has three goals, three assists, 29 SOG and 18 PIMs through 29 games in a bottom-six role prior to the injury.

Entwistle last played Dec. 27th due to a right wrist injury keeping him out and has been placed on the injured reserve retroactively to that day. The 23-year-old winger has two goals, three assists, 25 SOG and a -7 plus/minus while filling a bottom-six role across 33 games prior to the injury.

Brett Seney has been recalled from the Rockford IceHogs (AHL).

Seney has been recalled from the Rockford IceHogs (AHL) after putting up 14 goals, and 38 points in 32 games to place him second in the AHL in scoring. The 26-year-old will hope to add to the 55 career NHL games he has played previous to 2022-23 where he had five goals, eight assists, and a -15 plus/minus across three seasons.

Lukas Reichel has been recalled from the Rockford IceHogs (AHL).

Reichel ranks fifth in the AHL in scoring with 14 goals, 22 assists and six PIMs through 32 games with Rockford (AHL) but will be recalled by the Chicago Blackhawks for a second time Wednesday. The 2020 1st-round pick (17th overall) had played in one game previously this season with Chicago, picking up a -1 plus/minus across 13:58 TOI.

Wedgewood is projected to start Wednesday in Anaheim.

Wedgewood allowed five goals on 38 shots (.868 SV%) to snap a two-game winning streak as he lost in overtime to Carolina in his previous start. The Stars' backup netminder has been solid when called upon this season, with his 6-4-3 record, 3.03 GAA and .910 SV%. He will face the struggliing Anaheim Ducks, who have lost five of their last six games after a 4-1 loss to Philadelphia last game.

Gibson is projected to start Wednesday vs. the Stars.

Gibson allowed four goals on 33 shots (.879 SV%) for his fourth loss in five starts as he was defeated by Philadelphia in his previous start. It has been a nightmarish season for the 29-year-old netminder, who has a 6-16-3 record, 3.98 GAA and .897 SV%. He faces the Dallas Stars, who just snapped a four-game winning streak with a 3-2 loss to Los Angeles in their previous game.

Vanecek is projected to start Wednesday in Detroit.

Vanecek allowed two goals on 27 shots (.926 SV%) to snap a four-game losing streak as he beat Pittsburgh in his previous start. The 26-year-old has had an up-and-down first season in New Jersey, with his 13-5-2 record, 2.38 GAA and .911 SV%. He will take on the Detroit Red Wings, who have won three of their last four games but are 24th in the NHL in shots per game (29.6).

Vasilevskiy is projected to start Wednesday in Minnesota.

Vasilevskiy allowed three goals on 31 shots (.903 SV%) for his third win of the season with a victory over Arizona in his previous start. The 28-year-old has been exceptional as of late, which has led to his numbers heading back to near his career totals, with his 16-9-1 record, 2.42 GAA and .921 SV%. He will face one of the league's hottest teams in Minnesota, who have won eight of their last 10 games after a 5-2 win over St. Louis last game.

Jansen Harkins has been reassigned to Manitoba (AHL) after clearing waivers Wednesday.

Harkins had three goals, two assists, 12 PIMs and 18 shots through 22 games with the Jets prior to his demotion to Manitoba (AHL). Harkins cleared waivers Wednesday meaning he will be eligible to dress when the Moose take on Laval (AHL) in their next matchup.

Alex Nedeljkovic has been assigned to Grand Rapids (AHL) on a conditioning loan.

2022-23 has been a nightmare for Nedeljkovic, who has a 2-4-2 record, 4.09 GAA and .880 SV%. He will head back to Grand Rapids (AHL) in hope of refinding his game similar to the .932 SV% he posted in 23 games in 2020-21 which had many people thinking he was the Red Wings' goalie of the future.

Husso was pulled after allowing four goals on 12 shots (.667 SV%) as he took the no-contest in his last start vs. Pittsburgh. The 27-year-old has struggled as of late, which has led to his 12-6-5 record, 2.86 GAA and .908 SV%. He will take on New Jersey, who have lost three of their last four games after a 5-4 shootout loss vs. Carolina last game.

Vesey had signed a one-year contract after a successful PTO to start 2022-23 but has now signed a two-year, $800,000 AAV extension with the Rangers. The 29-year-old earned the extension after putting up six goals, six assists, 62 SOG and a +4 plus/minus through 38 games this season.

Sorokin allowed three goals on 34 shots (.912 SV%) to snap a three-game winning streak as he was defeated by Seattle in his last start. The 27-year-old has been one of the league's best goaltenders this season, with his .926 SV%, 2.30 GAA and 13-12-1 record. He will take on the Vancouver Canucks, who have lost their last two games but are seventh in the NHL in goals per game (3.39).

He will have a tough task taking on the Edmonton Oilers, who are fourth in the NHL in goals per game (3.58).

Stalock allowed three goals on 37 shots (.919 SV%) for his second-straight loss as he was downed by Columbus his last time out. The 35-year-old veteran has been one of the few bright spots this season on the Blackhawks, with his 4-4-1 record, 2.73 GAA and .918 SV%.
