Nilsson will start Friday in Washington.

Nilsson stopped 46 of 47 shots in the Sabres’ win over the Penguins last Saturday. It was a superb outing for Nilsson, who draws another tough assignment today in Washington. Nilsson is facing an average of 37 shots per game and carries a .951 SV% into tonight.

Greiss will start Friday in Sn Jose.

Greiss allowed two goals on 41 shots in the Islanders win in Anaheim on Tuesday. It was a great outing for Greiss, who is expected to go tonight in San Jose. Greiss has gone 1-1-0 with a 1.87 GAA and .938 SV% in two road starts so far this season

Dell will start Friday vs. the Islanders.

Dell allowed one goal on 33 shots in the Sharks’ loss in Carolina on November 15th. Dell has posted a 1.90 GAA and .932 SV% in three games this season and will make start No.4 tonight vs. the Islanders. The Isles come in having lost five of their last six.

Holtby will start Saturday vs. the Maple Leafs.

Holtby allowed three goals on 21 shots in the Capitals’ win vs. St. Louis on Wednesday. Philipp Grubauer got the nod last night, but Holtby will go tonight in Toronto. Holtby has won four of his last five starts while posting a 1.79 GAA, .930 SV% and one shutout. The 27-year-old has gone 4-1-1 in six starts on the road this season.

Anderson will start Saturday vs. the Hurricanes.

Anderson stopped 19 of 20 shots in the Senators’ win over the Bruins on Thursday. Anderson has won four of his last six starts while posting a 2.12 GAA and .932 SV%. Anderson, who is 6-3-1 on home-ice, stopped 32 of 33 shots in a 2-1 OT win in his first start vs. Carolina.

Smith will start Friday vs. the Oilers.

Smith was yanked after he allowed four goals on 17 shots in the Coyotes loss to the Canucks on Wednesday. Smith has now allowed a combined eight goals on 86 shots (.907 SV%) since returning on November 16th. Tonight he takes on an Oilers team that has won three in a row.

Mason led the Flyers onto the ice for warmups.

Mason allowed four goals on 29 shots in the Flyers’ loss in Tampa Bay on Wednesday. Mason has gone 3-3-2 with a 2.70 GAA and .905 SV% in November and this afternoon he will face the Rangers, who are the highest scoring team in the NHL.

Howard will start Friday in New Jersey.

Howard allowed one goal on 33 shots in the Red Wings win in Buffalo on Wednesday. Howard snapped three-game personal losing streak and comes into Friday at 3-4-0 with a 2.22 GAA and .926 SV% in seven starts in November. He'll face a Devils team that hasn't lost in regulation on home-ice.

Rinne is expected to get the nod for Nashville on Friday.

Rinne gave up two goals on 35 shots in the Predators win over the Stars on Wednesday. Rinne has won six of his last seven games, to give him eight wins on the year. Tonight he’ll face the Jets for the first time this season—Rinne is 6-1-1 with a 1.37 GAA and .952 SV% on home ice.

Steen (undisclosed) returned to practice on Friday.

Steen has missed the last four games with an undisclosed injury, but returned to practice on Friday and could be back in the lineup on Saturday. Steen has two goals and eight assists (10 points) in 17 games this season, monitor his status during the Blues’ morning skate.
