The Ducks have signed Hampus Lindholm to a six-year deal worth $31.5 million ($5.25M AAV).

Lindholm missed the first eight games of the season due to a contract holdout, but now that he is signed, you can probably expect him to be in the lineup over the weekend. Lindholm is one of the best young defensemen in the NHL and comes in having scored 10 goals and 18 assists (28 points) in 80 games last year.

Bobrovsky will start on Thursday in San Jose.

Bobrovsky allowed three goals on 30 shots in the Blue Jackets’ loss in Los Angeles on Tuesday. Gibson leads the Ducks onto the ice for warmups.

Gibson allowed a single goal on 25 shots after replacing an injured Jonathan Bernier in last night’s overtime loss in San Jose. With Bernier hurt, look for Gibson to go again tonight vs. the Predators. It will be the Ducks third game in four nights, so it will likely be a fatigued group that could be without Ryan Getzlaf in front of Gibson.

John Gibson
Rinne leads the Predators onto the ice for warmups.

Rinne allowed four goals on 42 shots in the Predators loss in Detroit last Friday. Rinne missed Saturday’s game because of food poisoning, but was back at practice on Monday and is expected to start tonight in Anaheim. Rinne has a solid .922 SV% through three starts and draws a strong matchup vs. the Ducks this evening.

Pekka Rinne
Talbot leads the Oilers onto the ice for warmups.

Talbot stopped all 31 shots in the Oilers win in the Heritage Classic in Winnipeg on Sunday. Talbot was the NHL’s first star having won three in a row while stopping 96 of 99 shots (.970 SV%). Talbot has had a great start to the year, winning five of six starts with a 2.75 GAA and .919 SV%. Despite the hot start, he draws a rough matchup vs. the Capitals tonight.

Andersen allowed seven goals on 24 shots in the Maple Leafs’ 7-3 loss to the Lightning on Tuesday. It was another ugly outing for Andersen, who is now 1-1-3 with a 4.29 GAA and .851 SV% in his first five starts with the Maple Leafs. Despite his struggles, Mike Babcock will go back to Andersen tonight vs. Florida. The Panthers are 3-2-1, but have dropped three of their last four.
