Sekac is not expected to play Wednesday because of Visa issues.

Sekac skated on the Ducks second line with Ryan Kesler and Jakob Silfverberg in the morning skate, but because of immigration/Visa issues from coming over from a Canadian team, he might be held out of the lineup tonight. There is a chance it could be resolved before game time, but he can’t play as of now.

Jiri Sekac
Gibson will start Wednesday vs. the Senators.

Gibson allowed three goals on 38 shots in the Ducks shootout win over the Red Wings on Monday. With Frederik Andersen still not quite ready, Gibson will go for his fourth-straight win. He has not faced the Senators this season, but has gone 4-2-0 with a 3.02 GAA and .903 SV% since being recalled.

Quincey (ankle) has been cleared to return to practice.

Quincey received good news from the doctor this afternoon. The Red Wings feared that he may need surgery, but he doesn’t and has been cleared to return to the lineup as soon as Mike Babcock feels he is ready to go.

The Blackhawks have reassigned Trevor van Riemsdyk to Rockford (AHL).

van Riemsdyk has been out since November 16th, but has been practicing as of late and his return to the AHL means that he is ready to return to game action. He will likely stay with Rockford until he is back up to game-speed and then should switch spots with Kyle Cumiskey.

The Blackhawks have placed Patrick Kane (upper-body) on long-term IR.

Kane suffered a “significant” upper-body injury in Tuesday’s game against the Panthers. There has been no official word on exactly how long he will be sidelined, but his movement to LTIR means that he will miss a minimum of 10 games or 24 days. He is expected to be sidelined for longer than that, but we will wait for the official timeline from the team.

Fleury starts Wednesday vs. the Capitals.

Fleury allowed one goal on 35 shots in the Penguins 5-1 win over the Panthers on Sunday. The win snapped a three-game personal losing streak for Fleury. One of those losses was against the Capitals, who he will take on tonight in Washington. He is 0-3-0 with a 3.05 GAA and .912 SV% vs. the Caps this season.

Marc-Andre Fleury
Ehrhoff (concussion) will be a game-time decision on Wednesday.

Ehrhoff has been out since January 28th, but it looks like he could be back on the Pens’ blue line tonight vs. the Capitals. Before getting hurt, he has three goals and 10 assists in 43 games, which has too be considered disappointing for the 32-year-old. Expect Derrick Pouliot to come out of the lineup if Ehrhoff ends up being good-to-go.

Christian Ehrhoff
Phaneuf (hand) will return to the Leafs lineup on Thursday.

Phaneuf has been out with a hand injury since January 21st, but he is finally ready to get back into the lineup on Thursday. He suffered a setback along the way, which prolonged his recovery, but with the Leafs well out of the playoff race, there was no need to rush their captain back into the lineup. He has two goals and 20 assists (22 points) in 48 games this season.

Dion Phaneuf
Bobrovsky (groin) could be back on Saturday or Sunday.

Bobrovsky skated again on Wednesday and the Blue Jackets believe that he is on track to start one of their two games this weekend. Curtis McElhinney has played very well in Bob’s absence though, so the Blue Jackets will not rush him if he is not 100 percent by Saturday or Sunday.

Sergei Bobrovsky
McElhinney will be back in goal on Thursday.

McElhinney gave up three goals on 37 shots in the Blue Jackets loss in New York on Sunday. He was given Tuesday night off, but will be back in the net tonight vs. Montreal. He comes in at 5-2-1 with a 2.11 GAA and .937 SV% in February. He just faced the Habs on Saturday, turning aside 21 shots in a 3-1 defeat.

Curtis McElhinney
Ramo will start again on Wednesday.

Ramo stopped 28 of 29 shots in the Flames 1-0 shutout loss to the Rangers last night. The strong outing has earned him the nod on back-to-back nights for the first time this season. He allowed four goals on 29 shots in a 5-4 shootout win in his first start against the Devils this season.

Karri Ramo
Bernier is the Leafs probable starter for Thursday.

Bernier gave up three goals on 34 shots in the Maple Leafs 4-3 OT win over the Jets on Saturday. With four days off between games, the Leafs will go back to Bernier tonight vs. Philadelphia. The first time he faced the Flyers, it was a debacle. Bernier allowed seven goals on 41 shots in a 7-4 loss.

Jonathan Bernier
Burakovsky will slide back in on the Capitals top-line.

Burakovsky was a healthy scratch on Sunday, but will be back in the lineup tonight vs. Pittsburgh. He played a career-high 18:10 TOI in his last game, so he could be in line for big minutes again tonight. His first-line status certainly makes him an intriguing one-day fantasy option.

Andre Burakovsky
The Blue Jackets have recalled Oscar Dansk from Springfield (AHL).

Dansk, 20, was a second round pick (31st overall) of the Blue Jackets in 2012. The 6-foot-3, 201 lbs. net minder has gone 7-5-5 with 3.46 GAA and .883 SV% with Springfield this season, but has switched places with Anton Forsberg after Forsberg stubbled at the NHL level.

Holtby gets the nod vs. the Penguins.

Holtby gave up three goals on 28 shots in the Capitals 3-2 loss to the Flyers on Sunday. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Holtby in the Capitals. Tonight he will face Pittsburgh for the fourth time this season—he has dominated them so far, going 3-0-0 with a 0.33 GAA, .989 SV% and two shutouts.
